I can see it been a pay cut for him as he was on a Div 1 contract.

He would be foolish to sign at a 50% cut when this Bradford City set up is ran by novices.

Hornby is at an age, where he needs to play . I dont think that there is much between the keepers ,but Hornby still has time to improve.
AOC has been the most consistant defender , reduced terms.

Donaldson is an interesting one. For me he's the classiest player that we have, and yes, he's well past retirement age and so I see that he just can't go on forever. He was used mostly as a late walk on player but still came out with the second highest score rate this season for us. Always liked watching him and his little flicks and turns.

 

Time for Wood and AOC to move on. Seen a relegation and 2 poor L2 campaigns with them in defence. Rest can go too. They are not good enough or dont deserve new deals.

 

37, scored about 8 goals in two years and showed a decent spell of 3/4 games in that time.

Don't k ow which thread to post it in so might as well be here. I'm going to put a word in fir AOC. He's been pretty much an ever present under a shed load of managers. Yes it's been a dire time but I bet he has been the first name on the team sheet throughout. Had to play in several different positions. I know he always looks a bit sulky but in the Salford match 2 potentially goal saving blocks and a stunning goal line clearance where he ended up in a heap in the back of the net didn't give me the impression of a player who isn't trying. If the price is right I'd keep him

 

I feel for Donaldson, a hometown lad whose had a very good career but ends up coming back to the shitshow that is Bradford City. Always put a shift in but sad in a way that he came home a few years to late and to what is a club in what feels like terminal decline.

 

I bet when he signed he thought he was going to have a fairy tale ending to his career with at least one promotion to savour with his home town club. Instead, it's turned into a bit of a horror story.

 

Why keep someone who hasn’t strengthened the defence one bit. Look at the impact Canavan made in a short time. That is the calibre of player we need across the back four, not keeping hold of someone who offers nothing and never has. We need a solid left and right back, plus another commanding centre half. Staunton, FCD and POC as back ups.

 

You've answered the question yourself. Time for AOC to move on with everyone's best wishes and for the benefit of both parties.

right here goes. I would question the impact of Canavan. Yes he looked good at first but the last couple of games before he was injured he looked distinctly average at best,,,,,and sllooooowwww
