Donaldson is an interesting one. For me he's the classiest player that we have, and yes, he's well past retirement age and so I see that he just can't go on forever. He was used mostly as a late walk on player but still came out with the second highest score rate this season for us. Always liked watching him and his little flicks and turns.

Well personally, thats the ruthlessness I wanted to see! Wood has it in his locker but clearly hasn't been arsed about staying, AOC - over rated, struggled to pass forward and a constant in our decline. Pleased they've got rid of the rest of the dead wood, just Evans to manufacture a move for now. Glad they've kept Hornby and Sikora. Foulds obviously shows something in training, heard his fitness levels had been an issue, perhaps the new fitness and conditioning set up will help us see the best of him. A whole new forward line needed. Busy summer ahead

I certainly don’t see Woods where you do...not on this seasons ( gone) showing, always played the backward option and when rarely playing forward , shanked into touch , given to the oppo, or into no mans land. Very poor season imho.

    Right-back: Anthony O'Connor (Bradford) - 7.14 rating
Bradford endured a difficult campaign, finishing 15th in League Two. That said, they at least have two players in the League Two best XI for 2020/21, with Anthony O'Connor featuring at right-back. Only two players won more WhoScored.com man-of-the-match awards than O'Connor (seven) this season.

    Centre-back: Paudie O'Connor (Bradford) - 7.21 rating
Paudie O'Connor is the second Bradford defender in the best XI. The 23-year-old was proactive at the heart of the Bantams backline, making the fourth most clearances (237) in the division. O' Connor also ranked highly for interceptions (77).

I think Hornby has earned the right to be number one next season it was a big mistake when they brought OD back.
Hornby get better the more games he played with his confidence rising he seems to be a good shot stopper and good on crosses and I like the way he uses the area which seems to be the modern way.
With OD still here I think keeper is one area we don’t need to change this summer

Keep Paudie and set up a “go fund me page” to pay off Evans.

Let ROD know he will be second choice sat on the bench but he is free to find a replacement club. Hopefully he will leave to get football

I feel for Donaldson, a hometown lad whose had a very good career but ends up coming back to the shitshow that is Bradford City. Always put a shift in but sad in a way that he came home a few years to late and to what is a club in what feels like terminal decline.

Why keep someone who hasn’t strengthened the defence one bit. Look at the impact Canavan made in a short time. That is the calibre of player we need across the back four, not keeping hold of someone who offers nothing and never has. We need a solid left and right back, plus another commanding centre half. Staunton, FCD and POC as back ups.

You've answered the question yourself. Time for AOC to move on with everyone's best wishes and for the benefit of both parties.

To be fair when he was fit he looked like he could be a good player. You have to imagine his professional career may be over and for a lad who was so highly rated as a kid ten years ago, that quite sad. I hope he gets fit and gets his career back on track.

Tbh, no-one has ever signed Canavan for his pace. What he has got is great tactical and positioning acumen and is a born organizer. He's always had a big impact on the defenders around him. Pretty damned good in the air and times a tackle well. But no, I wouldn't be looking at him for swift 30 yard sprints up front, ball at feet.

Talking of Canavan, his promotion winning CB partner Will Aimson was released by Plymouth. Won promotion twice recently from L2, with Plymouth and Bury. Could be one to look at if AOC goes or Paudie wants to move up.

Would like us to look more at bringing in guys with recently success. Looking at the lads we had play a majority of last season, it's split into 3 groups. One of guys who have been here 2/3 seasons and faced nothing but relegation and disappointment (ROD, both OCs, Wood). Players who've pretty much played nothing but youth football or had less than 15/20 starts in their career before city (Watt, Sutton, FCD, Hossanah, Staunton, Crankshaw). Or experienced guys who came with indifferent form spells at their last clubs or had a relegation before coming (Don, Novak, Evans, Clarke, Cook, Vernham). Canavan was the only guy with recent success, came in with good performances then we didn't win again after his injury.
