See if there is a reaction from the game, if not we give him a place on the bench for the Colchester game, and so on it's called player management, a little like at work after a long absence, good company's bring you back on less hours and build the hours week on week until your back to your 35 hours.

GB revealed he had played in a game behind doors and had come through it well, Some minutes against Rochdale and GB can start including him in his team squad very soon

 

For all the doubting I did about what Reeves injury was I'm made up for him that's he playing tonight. If we get a Reeves that is similar to the one we saw when he first signed he will be solid at this level and a definite upgrade on that area of the pitch.

 

No game Saturday he will be on the bench at least for the FA Cup replay next Tuesday night, he will not go out on loan, stop digging mate.

 

Over the moon he’s come through this and played very well by all accounts. To be out for as long as he has and slot back in as he has tonight shows a lot about his character. Hopefully much more of him to come, will be a classy midfielder at this level.

 

Best player on the park tonight by a country mile. Great to see him back after so long and I wish him well.

Him and Cooke would run games in this division if they ever get to play together.

 

Reeves will be like a new signing for us going into the second half of the season. As Bowyer said last night, they wouldnt be able to afford to go out and sign someone of his quality in January.

Is he out of contract in the summer?. If so, and he proves himself fitness wise, it would be hoped that if we offer him a new contract, he gladly accepts as a show of loyalty after we have looked after him these past 2 years

 

An hour in the tin pot cup against Rochdales kids is very different to League 2 football. Ease him back in. I doubt he'll be starting league games this side of Christmas. Big question now is how his body recovers after a bit of first team football.

In my personal view you are talking absolute noise. You don't have an asset you paid for, and are paying for and just ignore. I don't understand your views

 

I do think it is a fair comparison though. Did he talk to Reeves and the medical staff to understand the injury properly before half insinuating that somehow Reeves wasn't motivated enough or a bit of a wuss - the "you have to play through a bit of pain sometimes" comment springs to mind. That calling out of Reeves struck me as very poor.

 

You say we're 'rushing him back' but he's been training with the first team for a big chunk of this season. Many managers might have reintroduced him earlier, but Bowyer has been his customary cautious self when it comes to injuries and has held him back, despite saying for weeks that he's doing well. He's now had a half in a closed doors game and an hour last night. I expect to see him come off the bench for the next couple of games and then start some league games.

So you're on. A tenner to Darby Rimmer if Reeves doesn't start a league game before Christmas.

 

Rhodes joined the club months after Hopkin, it was Rahic who appointed him.

 

Maybe we could send him out on loan to a non league club so they could get him up to speed faster than us.
