That's correct, but 88 million was due to be made available to EFL clubs THIS season. The only reason that hasn't happened is because some premier league clubs are stalling on signing the agreement.

They will finalise something soon as they won't want the new regulator to decide the amount. The clock is ticking.

I honestly don't mind the Young being 'injured' stuff that's going on. It makes sense for all parties.

We might not want to sell, but if a ridiculous offer comes in we would take it. It seems worth waiting until the end of the window before completely blocking a transfer at the cost of just missing Young for a few games.

And I can't imagine Young is on a high wage now. Of course he wouldn't turn down probably a 3-4x pay increase. You can't blame the lad for this. Playing in L2 for your whole career won't necessarily set you up for life. He has an opportunity here to potentially gain way more security for his future.

I get why people are angry and Young/Sparks for the 'niggle', but it's just par for the course in this situation. Young, the club, and his agent will all be on the same wavelength for what's happening here.

All fair points not sure with regards what Young is earning, but my main concern is we continually hear from our CEO we won't accept mediocracy and promotion is still our aim, then surely league two's second highest goal scorer back on a free has to be a massive boost to what the club are aiming to achieve, just for once show the fans they are as good as their word.

There are two scenarios here either the player is genuinely injured in which case he can’t play or he is feigning injury to get his move. Either way the club are powerless in terms of getting him on the field

Or the club have told him he is "injured" and are waiting for to get the bid they want?

I don't believe a word of it. I am not knocking the club for this, if other sides are interested and there is a possibility of cashing in he needs to stay unregistered.

I just find it ironic he'd played the last 3 games for Swindon with a slight injury according to Flynn we all know the situation previously under Hughes surely he's not holding that against Bradford City fans and saying his injury is actually worse than it is, if he applies himself he could have a descent career in front of him.

I agree but it’s obvious that he wants a move and it looks like he is trying to force our hand after we turned down two bids.so we will either have to accept less money ar gamble on a last minute deal

What else is GA going to say? If the club are in on the niggle lie then GA wouldn't come out in an interview and tell everyone

I think its beneficial to both parties, If there is money on the table we should take it
He is fine. He wants a move and we want rid, fair enough.

This. Young wants an opportunity of a higher wage and higher level. The club wants to give someone the opportunity to pay above market value.

That's nothing unusual. Even when we paid around £300K off to Adams we still only had that deficit according to the 21/22 accounts.

Rupp's probably doing what a decent chairman does, have a good relationship with fellow directors who can give loans when needed.

I think the clubs pretty well run compared to others. That said very few clubs will give 100% of all transfer sales to the managers. I'd expect GA to get a fair chunk.

Which then is credit to Rupp for allowing Hughes to have so many players.

Personally, I think they should have told him to cope with what they had, i.e. not Afoka or Chisholm.

    Don't think it's a problem.
