Racist chanting towards our own supporter

Imagine if we did that with all criminals, they'd never get out of prison. Such a draconian way of punishment in a modern world.

 

Nah, ruin their lives, contact their employers, hopefully they'll lose their jobs and suffer in penury forever, with their kids suffering too, deserved, innit?

On the other hand, they might well be completely different people in a few years.

 

Just put them in the stocks in the City Centre for a day, Charge £1 a throw with rotten tomatoes with the money going to the burns unit, Job done

Ban the scum from VP for life. I'm sick of hearing about some of our fans behaviour this season, from the flare throwers to now this.
Our support's good name is tarnished by this tiny minority, they all need weeding out, they are not welcome.

Who mentioned prison? @abbomf Banning them from attending football matches isn't going to ruin their life. If they get a criminal conviction, well its their own fault and deserve the consequences of that just like anyone else would. Why you think they should be treated any differently say,from someone randomly abusing you in the street is beyond me.

 

A complete over reaction. By all means deal with a situation, but was has actually happened here? Some football fans shouting Tommy Robinson? Edl? And we are talking about lifetime bans? Worlds gone mad.

Doesn't seem so, although judging by reaction they've already been found guilty. Doesn't take much to get a reaction off football fans though.

If they can be identified then I wonder if the club, perhaps with support from Kick Out Racism, could put something on? If they engage with this, then a final chance, if not then ban them.

 

But you want to treat them differently. Somebody randomly abusing me in the street is not going to be banned from VP are they?

What on earth is to be gained from banning these crackpots from a football ground? Nothing. So what's the point?

Wouldn't engaging with them and achieving a change in their behaviour/mindset be more productive?

 

Like you I don't know what happened but IF they are found guilty of committing a criminal offence then they should face the consequences. No over reaction-just common sense.
