    What would turn people on these idiots would be say if we made the play offs and the club were refused fans to the away leg.

    I'm dam sure some names would be forwarded to the club then.

    Can’t agree on that one. I’m not condoning pyro’s at all, however if they are paying their money to travel a 280 mile round trip to Northampton and a 160 mile round trip to Crewe on a Wednesday night, they are very much supporters. If they were just doing it for the buzz and weren’t bothered about the footy then I’m pretty sure they’d save their money and just do it at home games?

    They may be supporters but do we need them as a club? One fine from the FA will probably wipe out a lifetime of money the club makes from having them follow us

    And therein lies the problem that the people that actually know them will think it is fun whereas if all season tickets had a photo on the club could check the photos and compare them to the CCTV and play a game of Guess Who

    Almost every other league 2 club have the same minority of supporters of this ilk. Have fines been handed to any of them yet? (Genuine question, not sarcasm). If not, I highly doubt they’ll be making an example of Bradford City alone, as it would certainly open a right can of worms

    There's been several instances of fans throwing flares at opposition fans. York's play-off last season. Sunderland v Birmingham last month. Rushall v Nuneaton last week. Several European games. Aberdeen, Hull, loads more. There has been an epidemic of it this season. We were getting enough people injured before. It was something like 5-10 or so minor injuries per season just in the UK. It's probably going to be much higher this season when/if they can tally them up. Somebody will get killed. You're not safe at the ground if they let these nutters in.

    Leeds were fined £20k the year they went up but it was the players/officials that used them.

    Technology has moved on. Lots enter using a QR code on their phone as their season ticket. I have had tickets for cup games on my phone.

    I bring a small bag, 7x4 inches and it is searched every time. Lipstick, tissue and phone. I sit in the Exe seats and I haven’t seen any in that section throwing pyro’s. They are coming in via the kop, use the searchers where they are needed.

    Once upon a time, it would have been taken care of in house. i.e. whichever young ruffian did it would have been wised up by a few senior fans. Basically, been given a good hiding.

    Searching is pointless. Nobody is gonna carry pyros in their pockets or bag and the stewards aren’t allowed to search under 18’s or the groin / arse crack of anyone.

    Once upon a time kids respected police, teachers, parents or any kind of person in authority.
    Then the PC brigade took control and took away all forms of discipline.
    Now we can only imagine a world where people follow rules and toe the line. That was lost about 4 decades ago.

    I didn't actually mean the physical card had a photo attached to it, I meant the account had a photo so then images could be compared. Currently the club have a list of names with no images so looking at CCTV isn't much use for naming people
