The beer in the fanzone was 3 euros a half pint. About 10 of us walked to a nearby complex despite threats we would not be readmitted. A local shop did a roaring trade of litre bottles of beer at 3 euros

 

Gone are the days of a pint of San Miguel for 99 peseta or was that only in Benidorm.

 

I remember when the euro first came in and you could get a big bottle of Cruzcampo for €1.50 and a box of wine for €2. It was great because exchange rate was about €1.80 at the time

 

€6 euro a pint is ridiculous in Spain, I was in Majorca two years ago and it was around €2.50 a pint!
AND the hotel had san Miguel in the all inclusive option so of course I got my moneys worth - and then some!


I think thats where Kadima made the money I presume.

 

I doubt Kadima got any takings from the bar? I read some comments about mistreatment in the fan zone. I presume it was to do with bringing own drinks in. From the looks of things on a few videos I’ve seen, many fans look to have preloaded themselves before arriving.

 

So who paid to bring the caterers/fanzone in?

who does a package to run at a loss?

If they did it wouldn't be £60 for travel and a ticket with a fan zone at €6 a pint. You have to remember Spanish wages slightly lower than the minimum wage here its around £6.70 ph (they dont have a NLW too.)

no way is €6 a pint at cost. Even including all other costs.

For starters Spanish beer levy is 3 cents per bottle whilst in the UK its around 40p per bottle so off the bat its magnitudes cheaper.

No business exists to not make a profit.

especially when its the “only” place you can get alcohol, so you can charge what you like as theres the threat of no remittance.

His son was the kid who went onto the pitch after the game and approached Lewis to say bye etc as posted earlier, the father never ever come into personal contact with pitch, Lewis, Mark Hughes nor Ryan Sparks, the father has received a banning order from the club, it has been sent to the police and the father will be challenging the situation, clearly there has been other instances in Spain as there is different reportings of all this and father and son are being caught up as miss identification.
