If part of the package was entry to the ground to watch the game I would have been very disappointed if that didn't include a seat, but more with regards my post they had to watch from behind a fence, both you and I know how frustrating that can be, as it was part of what fans had to put up with back on the day.
Looking at the set up they looked like they accomadated the home fans who wanted a seat ?.

Wasn’t there a change of venue at the last minute to accommodate the change of opponents.the viewing area didn’t look good wondering what the returning fans say

City fans were down the side of the pitch too from what i gather. There were some behind the goal too by the look of the stream but my mate was stood other end of the stand where the camera was - level with our own half in the first half.

 

My grandson has just got a selfie with part of the team at Alicante airport. They are held up, I think for about an hour.

According to the T&A a supporter (one of our own?!) approached him in an aggressive manner.

Mind-boggling. Would love to know the backdrop to this story.

 

I would hazard a guess that they were pi$$ed as a newt with around 1 brain cell in operation.

They stood behind the fence by choice. It was in a bit of shade. The majority of City fans stood or sat down one side on a terrace with plastic seats

 

Thanks for your input, I found a picture after I'd posted my comment which suggested they had seating, I agree even watching football in those kind to temperatures can be taxing on the body a few San Miguel's help rehydrate .
