Poor generalisation. My Daughter, dyed in the wool Corbynista and hater of Boris, works in the NHS and celebrated her 21st During the pandemic. Guess what happened? Her colleagues gave her cards and sung happy birthday to her because in general terms, they were simply nice people.

Her response to the latest scandal was "What are these people talking about" which is very much out of character when it comes to not sticking the Tory boot in. To characterise people who were going about their work as being soulless robots who had lost any ability to laugh or celebrate good things happening is ridiculous. To an extent they had it better than "us" who were stuck at home as they got to enjoy some sort of social contact but were taking higher risks generally.

yeah i researched that claim as my dad likes to spout it from time to time and it turns out he had nothing to do with the decisions r.e saville. That and trying to imply the labour frontbench have a drug problem just showed what a disgusting excuse for a human being johnson is. As I said when he got in, he will drag that office through the gutter and he emphatically has done with no sign of stopping.

We know there are over 300 pictures because the MET have them. We know there are probably more than that elsewhere (possibly in Dom Cummings box of goodies he left with) as Dom Cummings commented yesterday that the current photo doing the rounds is bland in comparision to what is out there including from the flat.

If the MET don't do what they are expected to do, these photos no doubt will make their way into the public eye and people will make their own minds up.

Ministers are starting to look like right muppets defending what went on. This is a classic example of a minister defending the same gathering that took place as a zoom quiz and he repeats several times there was no alcohol. One picture now makes him look a right idiot from his staunch defence.

I actually doubt these ministers actually know what went on. They were probably not there or had no idea so their defence of it is baffling that they are willing to put their neck on the line to defend it.

The parties don't bother me as I didn't have to bury a loved one with only 10 people or miss major life events whilst this was going on. I'll be honest I had a very lucky during the last two year. However to openly lie about it to the extent of saying you didn't know about such parties, any gatherings were within the rules, you were shocked to find out there were parties, to you were at the parties and now you are being investigated for law breaking (to potentially being fined for law breaking) is quite a movement from the original position and it treating the population as fools. I might expect this from a celebrity who consider themselves above the law, but I don't expect it from the Prime Minister of the country, and I doubt any of the Prime Ministers since this or last century would have acted in such a way.

Is he relevant, this same guy everyone and his dog were calling for his head after it came out about his trip to Durham Castle, now he seems to have gained credibility with many.

Johnson is not Stupid he knew exactly what he was doing with Starmer it was a deflection strategy, However much people want rid of him he will not go and all this will be forgotten by the next election, It may upset some but despite all his failings people seem to like him,

Was discussing this with someone last night. What can we do? The system is created for those at the top, you try and fight it and they close ranks. I'd be more than happy to participate in civil disobedience if I thought it would make any sort of difference.

understanding that when a massive bellend stands up in front of the nation and tells the country that we can’t do this or that while people are dying then no matter what he or that party say they won’t be getting my vote until maybe after the next General Election.

I don’t care who takes over but the Conservatives can F@ck off!

The Sunak fine for "Partygate" seems to have caused more issues for Labour than it did for the Conservatives.

If his behaviour is worthy of a fine then its almost impossible to distinguish between what he did and the Durham beer that Starmer had. In reality neither of the actions were worthy of any criticism at all but I suppose the danger of making a mountain out of a molehill is that you might have molehills of your own. Them lying about Rayner being there for months is simply plain weird too.

Lunchtime ? 10 O’clock at night ? And he said he went back to work :joy: sandwich break = 30 curries and beer ordered after saying the hotel restaurant he was staying was closed,it wasn’t.The Labour Party denied Rayner was there until evidence was shown she was and how many more people or MP’s were there that night ? Starmer could have come out with the truth but he and labour decided to do the holier than thou on party gate when Starmer knew he was in the wrong on Durham and he even used people affected by covid for examples knowing he was in the sh!t himself - Disgusting.

It's actually quite funny the lengths that you will go to differentiate.

Lunchtime? Ha! The actual lunchtime was the cake event? The night time one was Starmer. So you're saying Boris is okay and Kier is not?

The type of drinks and food had nothing to do with the rules. It's simply social or work. Plus Rishi got done without having a single beer.

The people who couldn't be with their loved ones is heartbreaking. It has nothing at all to do with people who were gathering for work though.

When we're talking about how sad it was the people couldn't visit their relatives at crucial times we should probably remember who was pushing for longer and harder restrictions. That had much more of a direct impact that whatever went on in any distant office whether its London or Durham.

He nentioned the hotel so whetter hes lying or not is up to you.

Where ever he was. He's not telling the truth. He got there at 7 o'clock and places were serving food until at least 9.

Why is it important though? It doesn't change any of the facts that what he did is - at least - no better than what Sunak did?

That's a fair comment, if we are judging Labour by what a Labour council have done in Bradford then I would have to think long and hard about voting for them.

100% this and that is why unless you are a donut that you should judge those in charge!

Seriously, some people need to understand that Tories, Labour or whoever are all the same. They don't give a damn! So, look at the leader and judge them! Vote against or for them on what they do!

This red or blue thing is a load of shite and the kids of today are understanding that. In fact you show your age if you don't.

Very immature calling people on here names who disagree with you on politics.

I respect your right to vote for anyone else but the Conservatives without labelling you a numpty or chump.

Whats your definition of a proper job?

You say Starmer has had one because of his legal career, yet Johnson hasn't because he was a journalist. That's a pretty disrespectful slur against all the hardworking journalists out there
