That's down to the Dom Cummings bunny boiler effect. He want to play this out for maximum damage to stay relevant.

Which is exactly what worries me because as much as I find Cummings entertaining and agree with a lot of what he says about how government is run I don't trust him either.

He's giving the impression that there is a big bang coming at the end of this but I'm not sure I believe him any more than Johnson. In the mean time they're just trying to get rid of Johnson by innuendo when they could have got rid of him a month ago.

They will paint this as a Remainer speaking out, who doesn't like Johnson due to Brexit.

    Of course.
But John Major isn't a sensation seeker. He's the polar opposite of Clown Johnson in that regard. He wouldn't openly say that Johnson broke the law unless he was sure that is the case. He'll have plenty of confidantes in the parliamentary party and the upper echelons of Whitehall who'll be giving him accurate insider information about what went on.

Is he relevant, this same guy everyone and his dog were calling for his head after it came out about his trip to Durham Castle, now he seems to have gained credibility with many.

The drip, drip approach, as opposed to revealing all the incriminating evidence at once, is a smart tactic designed to cause maximum damage to Clown Johnson. Johnson's default response to any accusation is to lie, deny everything, and try to deflect blame onto others. Each new piece of partial evidence is one more opportunity to force him into doing that, only for it to inevitably be revealed that he was lying (again). Each new lie gets more and more desperate and less and less believable and, once proven to be false, drags him one step further along the walk of shame. Eventually the weight of evidence will bring him down, but with much greater ignominy than if it had all been revealed at once.

Of course Cummings is not to be trusted further than you could throw him. But, nevertheless, I'm all for it. I want to see Johnson slither out of No.10 in total, unmitigated disgrace - to be firmly remembered as the worst Prime Minister in history. The man is a loathsome snake who is utterly unfit for any form of public office, much less that of PM. The greater the damage to his reputation the better. Bring on the slow death of a thousand cuts.

Yet more evidence against the loathsome waste of protoplasm that is our elected leader.

    Johnson is either:

    a) Too stupid to appreciate that making the remark about Starmer would feed conspiracy theories, hate speech and potential physical danger from far right extremists. In which case he is clearly not fit to be leading the government.

    or,

    b) Understood exactly what he was doing but did it anyway, regardless of the consequences, to deflect from his own misdemeanours. In which case he is clearly not fit to be leading the government.

Johnson is not Stupid he knew exactly what he was doing with Starmer it was a deflection strategy, However much people want rid of him he will not go and all this will be forgotten by the next election, It may upset some but despite all his failings people seem to like him,

Johnson was popular for two reason in the last election.

He was seen to be doing what the people asked of him regarding Brexit. The Brexit heartlands did not forgive those who purposely blocked Brexit. I personally voted to remain, but I couldn't vote for an MP who had done their best to go against a national referendum.

Secondly he was up against Jeremy Corbyn. It was the lesser of two evils. Corbyn did well against May because he suckered the electorate to suggest they would respect the referendum result. After 2 years of constantly blocking it, it was clear that Labour couldn't be trusted.

People don't like having the piss taken out of them. If they vote for something and you ignore them they will punish you. If you ask them to do something and you don't do it yourself (lockdown etc) they will punish you. If you cream and abuse your position for personal gain (MP expenses and Patterson etc) they will punish you for it.

These things cut through and not many people will be bought of with Boris trying to claim the rules were different for him as he worked and lived at the same place.

I pointed to why that happened. I introduce you to Jeremy Corbyn.

The last election was like picking between Adams and Bowyer for entertaining football.

In footie, there is always room for a boring 0-0 draw with no winner. In our form of democracy, that can never happen. There has to be a winner ... however dishonourable that person is!
