I’d agree with that. I think it probably highlights how fragile we are - after the goals, a bit of confidence came in. I think it took a while for the players to feel comfortable with the system too.

 

I’ll take a few more ground out wins before January. We don’t have the quality to play more attractive, attacking football. Any wins we get will have to be like today, and hopefully the odd draw or nick a win away. Then add some quality in January.

He had a good hand in the first goal when he won the ball on the RHS crossed kit over first time , corner , if i remember which led to the goal. _

 

He did the donkey work. Joking apart, he is living the dream and no one can fault his effort. Also, he makes me smile when he jumps, lands and then the ball goes over his head. On the plus side, for the first time this season, opposing centre backs knew they had been in a game.

 

Was it offside or did the ball go out of play? I ask because the restart wasn’t taken from the six yard box, but midway between the edge of the six yard area and the 18 yard box, which would indicate he was offside or she cocked up.

At the time it just looked like it was a shoulder from NKP but there does look to be an arm raised there. However unless he's swung his arm into the lads face (which he didn't) it's not a red. Surely this will get overturned.

 

Agree. There was certainly no flailing arm and if there were, it would certainly be out of character. Their forward seemed to come from slightly behind NKP, head his elbow and go down as if he had been shot. The ref(who has never been very good) bought it immediately. He showed just how good a ref he is late in the game when he completely lost it.

Have to admit, that puzzled me at the time. Can only assume she missed the dead ball, but conjured up an offside from somewhere. She really wasn’t very good.

Mainly agree. But I did think there were 7 minutes of injury time. Ironically, the whole team played in that Tony McMahon cynical time wasting manner. Problem was the ref saw every wasted second

I'll take that over virtually all the 'roll over and tickle my belly' performances we've had in the last year

 

Good call on the ref, i thought he had a terrible game. Some of the fouls given against Miller were laughable at best.

 

K block were great yesterday, especially getting the whole crowd supporting the team during the extra 8 minutes.
This is the first time this season I've felt the players care as much as the rest of us.

 

I think they've been like this since that second half capitulation at Gillingham. Keep this up and they'll be fine
