Fantastic win today, and great to see every player give 100% for the shirt. Wasn't a game of great quality but I don't think any game of ours will be this season.

Thought Henry made a difference, just sat infront of the back 4 and didn't move - Exactly the sort of discipline Akpan and Wright have shown none of. Constantly organising too which is something we've badly missed on the pitch.

I thought the defence did well today in all honesty, Oxford didn't really have a clear cut chance other than the one in the 1st half after Caddis' mistake.

Never thought I'd say this but Brunker was alright today. Won a few headers and his general link up play looked better than usual.

First Saturday in god knows how long I can actually enjoy!

After thinking long and hard about boycotting this game, I decided to go. For a couple of reason, firstly all the rumours of Rahic either is gone or more or less gone, it may not be true yet but with so many people saying similar there must be something in it. I also think the signing of Caddis and Henry compound this, them signings weren't happening before. Then of course the fact that Darby was there, this was the biggest factor for me, there is more to life than football and he deserved a full crowd there just for showing up, it can't have been easy for him getting on the pitch at half time and doing what he did. And finally without sounding to dramatic, this is a massive point in the clubs history, the team really do need our support at the minute regardless of what is said in the heat of the moment none of us want to see us down in League 2 again. So I'll be there, now do the decent thing Rahic and pi55 off before you damage our club anymore.

Now onto the game, I'm glad I decided to go, it wasn't sexy football but it was a very enjoyable game. Just goes to show what giving 100% can do at this level, it was hard to fault any player, and I won't be doing either.

Personally I thought our disallowed goals looked good but I'd have to see them again, but it would have made for a more comfortable afternoon. That said they couldn't break us down, which made a pleasant change. Henry screening the defence was a big reason for this imo, and I was shocked to see someone on here say he didn't make a tackle, I'm guessing he wasn't at the game and just felt like a good fish.

Caddis, young O'B and Chicksen I also felt were all excellent, O'Brian is our best loanee since Cullen fantastic little player. It's the first time I've seen Caddis and although he's one of the slowest players I've ever seen no one could get past him, his tackling and football brain are a cut above this level, he had Browne in his back pocket all game.

Special mention to Bruenker, some go over board with praise for him on here, like when he took a penalty in the shoot out against Aldershot. But he deserves credit for Saturday, he doesn't have the technical ability to succeed at this level, but he was a nuisance all game and it's the first game where we really gave an opposition defence something to thing about for a while and that was down to him harassing none stop. Regardless of lack of ability it's hard not to like the lad.

Everyone else had a good game, Percival shouldn't have been sent off imo, but Drysdale is a joke so it isn't a shock.

Tomorrow will be difficult, but this result and performance should give us hope going forward that we can get out of this mess.

Of the people i know that are staying away on 'principle', it will take more than the offer of a pound a game to make them think of coming back. As JB says its season ticket holders who are staying away so the offer won't even affect them. Its pretty simple Park, as soon as Rahic f*cks off most of these stay awayers will come back. I admire their stance of 'principle'.

It’s telling that Caddis, O’Brien and Henry have all become first team players immediately after signing. Shows the lack of quality we had in the squad.

It also gives me confidence that Hopkin knows what he wants in a player and, if given the chance, he should be able to improve the squad further in January

I don’t think we were shit. That’s harsh. We didn’t play amazing free flowing football but we won 2-0 and restricted them to very little.

The way we were writing them up on here everyone had them down as an easy away win.

We battled hard and won the majority of our battles all over the pitch. Had two goals ruled out and scored 2 for the first time in a while.

Went down to ten men but still kept a clean sheet.

Brunker is not good enough but Oxford had kept a fair few clean sheets recently and he gave them a hard time. Just praise them when they do well and criticise if they don’t. We don’t have to be overly critical every week.

The football is not going to be free flowing and like Barcelona when we are down there struggling for anything. It’s a long battling road back this season

It’s only a quid you miserable bastard. Have you seen how bad this lot are? We need as many people as possible clapping if we’re going to have any chance.

give it a rest just for 90 mins. Gets a bit boring. Why is it crucial? Because ultimately we are a football club and football matches are quite important as well as winning them. Destroyed is a strong wordtoo

Just listened to Karl Robinson's interview. Apparently, they were comfortable, defended well and we cheated. Good to see he's still a deluded tosser.

By the way Doyle was clapping him off , I think he really appreciated having him playing up front with him today.

If you didn't feel sorry for him, and he had come here with a reputation ala Eoin Doyle, you wouldn't be saying such things.

He's very poor for this standard, and doesn't use his frame well at all.

He should be much more effective, particularly in the air and in terms of hold up play, based on physical attributes alone. But he isn't, and it's his lack of understanding, ability to read the game, and blatant inexperience at any sort of similar level that hinders him most.

If he were 18, you might hope we could coach him into becoming a reasonable player. But he's 24, and will leave at the end of the season never to be heard from again.

Never thought I’d say this but Bruenker is actually having a decent game. Winning his headers (which are sometimes finding their man), holding the ball up and working hard to pressure their defence.

    Great win.

Full of commitment if low on quality.

It is a start we can build on. The likes of Caddis, Henry and JOB are going to be vital for us.

Thought David Ball had a good game.

We slowed the game down well in the last twenty minutes. Good management.

That will not be an excuse as far as I am concerned. They are fit young men, playing twice a week? turn down training. Parky wouldn’t have that as an excuse. Try doing back to back 10 hour night shifts 10 nights in a row, on busy medical wards, 4 days off, then back on again!
