I had a smidgen of positivity about this game after the weekend, and then we nearly lost to a non league side at home, so nah, we're still crap and we'll probably lose.


I hope McMahon gives Edin the finger while celebrating or something.

 

I don't rate McMahon defensively so would normally hope he plays, but we have no threat out wide to exploit him and his set pieces would probably destroy us, so definitely hope he doesn't play.

 

Hope he does play, a couple of loose elbows aimed towards his rib-cage should put him off his game.

 

17500 sold so far, including ST holders.

Good effort to come and watch a poor struggling City side that has managed to score only 5 home league goals all season.

20000 is a bit of a tall order. But hopefully there will be a good atmosphere and our misfiring team will respond

Tomorrow is a monumental match in our club's recent history.

We are 7 points adrift of safety at the bottom of League One, at home to a team similarly in peril, albeit slightly less than ourselves. The fans have been dropping off all year long, and have now been enticed back for £1 as a last gasp chance to re-ignite the VP following.

If we lose, we could potentially be up to 10 points adrift having just lost to one of the worst teams in the division at home. That would probably kill any belief the players and supporters alike have for the remainder of the season and make our relegation to League Two an almost certainty.

If we win, we could be 4 points adrift of safety, unbeaten in 3, and potentially re-ignited the belief amongst the supporters and enticed some of those 5,000 fans to come back again along with the stay-aways.

On top of this, we have the protest fly over which will no doubt attract nationwide media attention and draw a response from Rupp, Rahic or both. It could be the final straw in pushing the poison that is Edin Rahic out of our club, which along with 3 points would be a huge turning point in our season and going forward.

It really is a huge match for many more reasons than the 3 points.

I'll be there and I hope many more are too. Let's make VP rocking again, get behind the team in full force (after we've rightly cheered the flyover) and turn our season around starting from tomorrow.

He's a good sub to being on though isn't he? Not like the Colville's etc of earlier in the season. No disrespect to Luca but much rather bring on some experience in this type of situation.

 

Not read all the comments so this may have already mentioned. In a team full of good performances Chicksen was my stand out player today. Didn't really put a foot wrong and the lung bursting run in injury time was immense. Been underwhelmed with him since his return and have felt Wood was generally more deserving of the spot. However today he showed what he can bring to the team.

I think Robinson might have sold him when at Charlton so perhaps he had a point to prove.

Other mention to Kai who played best I've seen so far, caused them some problems did the donkey work for those around and we actually looked more of a threat for it

My eldest couldn’t believe we scored twice. He hasn’t seen us score at home for ages from the games he has been to!

Glad to see Henry get 90 mins under his belt.

Not seen the card incidents but overall happy with that. We looked dangerous going forward and Kai put himself about.

Lewis O’Brien in particular had a good game. All action. Nice to see Ball score again - his confidence is increasing game by game.

 

Today was his best game in a City shirt. A respectable 6/10. Given that every other option up there is shite too, we may as well keep him in. He’s nowhere near good enough, that’s clear. Can’t fault his effort though.

 

Was it offside or did the ball go out of play? I ask because the restart wasn’t taken from the six yard box, but midway between the edge of the six yard area and the 18 yard box, which would indicate he was offside or she cocked up.

Yes

Have to admit, that puzzled me at the time. Can only assume she missed the dead ball, but conjured up an offside from somewhere. She really wasn’t very good.

 

Good call on the ref, i thought he had a terrible game. Some of the fouls given against Miller were laughable at best.
