I don’t think the World has given up on a vaccine, but due to complexity of viruses it is going to be next year as it has to be tested and produced for a world wide distribution.

 

Maybe the club should have someone on each turnstile zapping foreheads with one of those machines can scan your season ticket at same time.

The season hasn't finished its been suspended until 3rd April at the earliest then hopefully carry on I can see the euros getting moved to next year.

I think the season should be voided, there are a number of benefits to this solution:

Liverpool won't win the Premier League title, that would be funny. Leeds won't get promoted, that would be even funnier. Swindon won't get promoted, this would also be funny.

Most of our supporters are season ticket or flexi card holders, so I would assume that the lost revenue wouldn't hit us as hard as it will hit some of our rivals. We now know which players/teams in this league are good, those same players will still be in league two next season unless someone from a higher league comes in for them. I think that makes our transfer window easier.

 

You're not appreciating the seriousness of this Fordy. Footballers are human beings who have loved ones too.

I watched an interview earlier with an infectious diseases expert in the US, who's actively involved in analysing COVID-19. He stated that the latest data that the US has indicated that this virus is 10-15 times more lethal than the nasty strains of seasonal flu. The test cases they have show the viral load of infected people is 10,000 times higher than SARS. World is going into lockdown and this country isn't doing enough. Football doesn't matter. It's going to shut down for months and footballers, and the people who work within the industry have every right to protect themselves and their families just as everyone else does. Just look at the number of players/managers who've been confirmed as infected within the last 48 hours.

Not life as we know it, not for a while. And certainly not in wat that football will matter.

Many businesses are going to go under, and the economy will be impacted in a way we've never seen. The only silver lining might be the fact that the impact will be global, so theres a shared interest in protecting and then supporting economic recovery.

 

In reality, I would prefer a football club to go under, including mine, then the death of fellow human beings. It really is only football at the end of the day.

 

No promotion or relegation.... good job we've been sh*t then. Imagine how gutted we'd be if were in the top 3...

Oh, and if the premier league is voided then have Sheff United actually avoided relegation and hence, does our McBurnie windfall still kick in....??

 

I don't think you have quite grasped the severity of the situation. Quite amazing really.

 

Because gatherings over a certain number may not be allowed, and It's a large hotel so maybe they will have to close, hence my "waiting for info" comment.
