I think or hope that the government are preparing for the army to be mobilised ie field hospitals and are able to get hold of enough oxygen and ventilators.

 

I don’t think the World has given up on a vaccine, but due to complexity of viruses it is going to be next year as it has to be tested and produced for a world wide distribution.

 

Fordy. You are sounding like Trump, clueless. They could have a vaccine right now that may be extremely effective but these things have to go through preset testing procedures. That takes months. You wouldn't want to mass vaccinate with something that is equally as effective at damaging human health. It could be even worse.
Oh and just because you aren't in your 60's and 70's doesn't necessarily mean you are totally safe. You do have an extremely good chance of survival though.
