Because he looked to have about as much potential as the likes of Joe Brown/ David Brown/ Danny Forrest/ Gareth Grant, all of which were released on similar performances and if Parkinson had any idea of the value of a striker he'd have picked Gregory up from Halifax (can't blame him for Vardy who left Halifax around the same time Parky came).
