Is the first line being sarcastic or? Devitt and Pritchard for me are key players who for me would make us a better side when they are in the team.

 

If Devitt had produced what he did for Carlisle I think it was 10 goals and 11 assists then he would be a big miss

 

Yes, that was ridiculous. I agree with the target man. I was also replying to the part where you said if Parky had key players out too. The team was set up as a long ball team but we had much more than that our game during that era.

 

but he hasn't.

 

Devitt hasn't played.

Bit like saying Doyle is a key player too. For Swindon.

 

How many games has he played

 

Are we lacking creativity? Yep. Has Devitt proven that he can be creative in this league? Yep.

 

Everyone's confidence in Devitt that he can turn us around and be a creative spark is confusing me? Did he do anything in the games he's played for us this season. Don't remember him getting a kick of the ball in the games I saw him before the injury. If the ball bypasses the midfield like it has been is he going to be much use?

 

I don't think it's really bypassing the midfield is it? We're just toothless when we get it in midfield and pass either sideways or backwards with nobody who will carry the ball forward. He only played two games I think? I think based on his last couple of seasons in this league it's fair to assume he would offer something.

Its the same as expecting Doyle to score another 23 just because he already has with Swindon.

 

Do we let creative players be creative? Nope.

 

At times but let’s not pretend there wasn’t a lot of dross in the league similar to what we’re seeing now. Who can forget teams like Colchester and Yeovil going onto do the double over us before being relegated. Or Rotherham away, Exeter away or the best watching Bristol City show is how to play football ,when we still had hopes of playoffs until the 6-0 spanking. The only time I’ve really enjoyed league games on a regular occurrence in the 21st century was in the 16/17 under McCall, most league games have been a slog regardless of manager.

 

Of those you could really only say Devitt and that's because he hasn't had the chance to be mismanaged yet.

 

And we still keep coming back for more. It was laughable at times how bad teams/games were and still is.

 

Devitt has been built into the saviour without actually playing. Some were even demanding he start after a long term injury. The lad needs to time to adjust back to first team action and we shouldn't expect too much.

 

I'm not billing him to be a saviour but when he signed I expected him to be a key player and when he's fit I still think he can be.

 

I appreciate what you're saying but the main reason Doyle isn't scoring is because we don't create enough, correct?
