New manager appointment will tell us this
Hurst means JR had no input
    Truman/Sellers means he had input
Theories about the season not finishing leads me to think they will be appointed to the season end and January signings will be sparse thoughts will be they can keep us up and go for it next season

What if your head chef was a brilliant con artist.

Not sure I agree mate sorry. Let’s not pretend he been great but He has put his money in, and continued to do so. That’s not being piss poor.

Not disputing he has not put money in - but how much was it for fire fighting the mess were left in - from when he and his chosen partner wrecked any progress the club had made and took us backwards. What has been put in to develop the club from how he inherited - to improve it? He certainly has assistance from the Mc Burnie money the club generated - not from his pocket. At the end of the day it his money - he will be a success if he ever moves the club forward up the leagues and with the right infrastructure.

If the season doesn’t finish, then what is the point of signing any new players? The existing players will complete the season, and if their contracts expire, then unless the new manager sees some value in them, they will be free to move on. The new management, can work out which players they want, and look to sign for the next season.

It really has to be Hurst

The timings perfect. Bursts on to the scene and punches a team way above its weight as his first job.

Comes unstuck during the next two - some of it due to internal politics, some of it due to a club thinking it's bigger than it is

It reads like Parky's CV before he came here, i.e. let's get a manager who has proved himself and will have learnt bitter lessons from other errors he (as we do) will have made

Does visiting Santa's Grotto count as a meeting?
You must be cacking it, looks like you're going to get a good seeing to when he's done with Santa.

    Derek Adams 2/1 now.

So far we’ve had Jon Woodgate, Sol Campbell, Ryan Lowe, Paul Hurst as favourites, shortly to be Derek Adams.

Nobody has a clue do they :joy:

Very knowledgeable with regards the modern game and players, don't know if he's available, I think he was working with the FA.
If Trueman and Sellers continue until the of the season Dolan would be doing the DOF role we all keep asking for.
Bradford lad knows the expectancy of the fans and the issues we've had.

I think it was his fourth.

I believe he had a couple of Joint Manager jobs in non league, prior to joining Grimsby initially as Joint Manager again.

Totally agree, in the accounts that John Dewhirst released it was stated that Rupp had lent us 1.8 million interest free. Lawn lent us 1 million and charged us 9 % per annum and yet is treated like some hero on here whilst Rupp is reviled. Can I point out that from Lawn joining us in 2007 we had zero success until 2012/13 season. Five years of mediocrity and then the right manager was appointed. Rupp by his own admission doesn’t know anything about football so he appoints a CEO to do that job, he doesn’t need to be flying in from Germany or making statements that the fans who dislike him will describe as B.S anyway. From what I can gather he is regularly involved with the CEO but unlike Rahic does not undermine the staff or get involved in the football side of the business.

I think we need to say well done to Ryan for giving nothing away on this, it shouldn't be a public debate and the fact that an announcement is getting near and we are still not sure who it will be is testimony to the way it has been handled.
Cant always say this about City!
