I wonder what more these two need to do to get the job full time? You would not think we haven't played for yonks looking at today's performance. Away to top of the table and went toe to toe for the full game. Fully deserved the draw.

The team played as a team. Great passing and moving, tracking back, regaining possession, looking solid at the back, unlucky with the shot hitting both posts. Tackling and competing and taking one for the team when needed.

Build on this and at the end of next season we could all be smiling from ear to ear.

Looking to the future can they take that next step and make us a team to seriously threaten the play offs/autos? That must be the ultimate aim for me. Currently made us hard to beat but that wasn’t hard compared to Stuart’s absolute dross.

A good result against Southend and Barrow and I think they'll get the job permanently.

Yes-we have just played the current best team in the league and more than matched them all over the park. Even the the home radio commentary team were paying us compliments about our play.

I admire your optimism but hardly best side in the league. Played 4 more than some sides up there. Play off side yes and we’ve competed. Certainly more than before they took over but we are Bradford city in league two. We should be competing at minimum against sides like this. As I said it’s a big improvement and we are solid but to push us on as a promotion side? Jury’s out for me. Got to stop looking at games in isolation and look at the bigger picture

I wasn't looking at anything in isolation. You cannot ignore the way we are now looking much better , organised and playing some neat football. Had we have been playing in this manner since the first game of the season I would expect us to be in the top 6 at worse.

To be fair we've looked better with nearly every game played. The defense is pretty sound and will be stronger with Hosannah. We're definitely one of the form teams at the moment and the whole place has been lifted by two young unknowns who seem to be taking everything in their stride. To not give them the position could turn out to be one of the biggest fu#k ups in a long line of fu#k ups...

To think we were probably close to appointing Lee Hurst and he’s had a disastrous start at Grimsby. Get our management team signed up.

I hear you but let's say we hired Hurst or even that guy at Plymouth or whoever and they stopped the losses, made us hard to beat, picked up 5 or 6 points out of 9 or 8 out of 15 then we'd be saying something like...
    • Using his experience
    • Getting us organised
    • Stopped the rot
    • Just need to kick on
    • Set up a solid foundation for next season
    • Etc etc
Anyone we could have hired could have had us in this position and we'd have been like "that's great" and expecting us to kick on.

So, let's set aside the name/past achievements of anyone and (as we should) judge any manager on their ongoing results.

What I'm saying is we shouldn't take a negative stance against these two in the same way we shouldn't be overly optimistic of someone else just because they've been a manager elsewhere.

Let's praise them for what they do well and challenge them where appropriate.

So far, I feel they've got the results/points that anyone else could/would have got. It's a brilliant effort to be honest. I don't see that anyone else would have got us further ahead than this but if it had been a name like Hurst or whatever we'd have been singing their praises. We shouldnt be overly harsh against T&S just because they've not done it elsewhere. What they've done so far is more than good enough.

    This Lee Hurst?
Might have been a laugh a minute but couldn't have seen the same upturn in fortunes if we'd appointed him. Screenshot_20210123-202441_Google.jpg

Trueman has done well, but I'm not convinced by Sellars.

    Absolutely spot on.

I think anyone saying Trueman and Sellars are superior coaches to Paul Hurst are being dishonest with themselves. Whether it pans out for Hurst at Grimsby or not has zero bearing on how we might have performed under him for thousands of reasons.

At the start all the focus was on Trueman, it seemed he was running the show and we were winning, in the last few weeks Sellars seems to have come to the fore and the wins have become draws.

Interesting comment! I feel they work together very well seems that sellars is more in charge of the media duties leaving trueman to the football side of things. I don’t think anyone can knock what they have done in a short period of time
