I thought Kammy replaced Lennie as manager, I could be wrong though!

Yes that's right. Lennie was sacked by GR and buggered off to Luton in the division above us and Kammy was promoted from Asst Manager to replace him. After Lennie joined Luton, they were relegated at the end of the season and guess who replaced them? Yep, us, with Kammy as manager. Just desserts and all that!

Did Lennie do anything wrong there, it sounds like he did, but I'm not sure what?

My memory might be playing tricks but we were languishing towards the bottom end of the division at the time Lennie was sacked. GR's managerial patience wasn't the greatest. He had already sacked Stapleton the previous season prior to appointing Lennie.

And of course Kammy got the credit for then getting us promoted via the play-offs.

Anyone know what happening with the U18s in the 'interim'? Surely we need to bring in 2 new coaches?

Our programme seller, Geoff Dickson, is taking them in the interim.

Paul Hurst now 1/6 to land Grimsby job and is at their match this evening. Its safe to say we are not waiting to appoint him then.

Tyneside and Bamy need new sources.

3 out of 5 wasn’t bad (Stuart’s contract extension, Sparkes as CEO and Turnbull as Recruitment manager being correct). Out of the 2 incorrect ones I guess we’ll never find out about our approach for Jewell. Maybe we will hear the story behind the Hurst talks as I’m sure there is an interesting tale to tell.

Perhaps we were his first choice, and once T+S started doing so well, they became our first choice and as such PH decided to explore other options, ie Grimsby.

This is true. Seems to have happened a couple of times already in our inexperienced CEO’s reign.

At what point does a CEO become experienced in your mind?

    Strange question.

Depends on the company, experience of the individual and who the CEO has working around him.

As a company director myself, with over 20 years experience in my field after qualifying with a Management degree, a background in accountancy, manufacturing operations and H.R would I be ready for a CEO / MD role? Not yet, No.

So, I’d say 2 months isn’t any experience at all.

    Does that answer your question?

Get any further up and Sparkes burps will smell of Keighley.
