Interesting how managers jump about on a whim and don't seem to care where they go. I imagine all the clichés will be rolled out at the press interview such as "big club, great fans, wrong league, good squad etc.." whilst really thinking "what a s$it hole can't wait for that Bradford job to come up"

 

The alternative scenario is he was offered the job at City and was about to be unveiled when Holloway resigned. And he decided to turn us down. For Grimsby.

Not saying this is the truth but imagine if it was.

 

Could be more true than people realise, not necessarily Hurst but maybe we had candidates turn us down something some would never accept on here even if it wouldn’t be the first time. Even if we’re starting to turn the ship many outside of Bradford will still consider us a basket case, and Grayson who is respected in the game put that damming article about the job out just as we were supposed to be interviewing and suddenly nobody is good enough for us but 2 academy coaches are with 4 games experience. Nice coincidence. Either way let’s hope it’s a blessing in disguise and it works out for the best.

Sorry but if that is true and Ryan can't convince a manager to join us over bloody Grimsby he needs to resign.

 

It's a possible scenario. I'm not saying it's true because I don't know.

 

I can't be having that.

I've no doubt that we talked to him but I don't believed we offered him the job because he wasn't at any of the games. I just think he was high on the list because not certain.

I think we are considering a manager at another club myself.

 

There is absolutely nothing that indicates Hurst was offered anything other than an
Interview there is much more that indicates that city were underwhelmed with the quality of applications. The people they probably wanted were under contract elsewhere

 

But we are always led to believe that we've had a raft of quality CV's put forward.

You don't need to interview a manager to find out his successes, just get on Wikipedia.

It's more likely as you say that the guy we wanted is under a contract, we wouldn't pay compo,.so we've gone internal.
