And what are his credentials??? 15 games at Leyton Orient and a capitulation at Notts County followed by a sacking.

If Stuart is back I do hope there is no penny pinching on the back room staff. He is not perfect and requires support in areas. We shouldn’t really invest in ppl being perfect we are not. We all have weaknesses as can be seen even on here.

I would have preferred a duo of Warnock and Stuart, but he will get my full support regardless. I said at the time that you can’t really judge him in the couple of months results before he was sacked as he was completely undermined by Rahic.

Still hasn’t been announced yet, but we can look forward to a much more positive football at VP. I can return to VP which is a relief. Just a word about some of the more negative contributions from posters. I don’t think this is a lazy appointment, I think it has been done out of necessity and that is not lazy that is prudent. I said straight away that sacking GB was a business move. It is ST is the lifeblood of our club for swathes of fans to talk about not turning up and not renewing is s massive crisis, and therefore they just had to move. In crisis you want somebody you know who can deliver the feel good factor and support of the large majority of fans. He he succeeds it will be brilliant and dispel the detractors. If he doesn’t succeed in promotion he still might have stabilised the club.


My message to the Board is this, stop this crisis management and start to plan for this club to start to realise its full potential. Start thinking succession planning, managers, players, structure.

 

Warnock for me, the statement released suggests we are still hoping to achieve promotion. I think this is doable and therefore an experienced manager who can motivate is essential - that is Warnock all over. If this is the chosen route though, the appointment needs to be made in the next 48 hours as we have no time to waste.

However if we are seeking to appoint a more long term manager then my choice would be Nathan Jones.

 

I think Warnock would be the short term answer to getting us up.

His no nonsense style would wake the players up and we just need
to get up and move on.Warnock has said he isn't bothered where he
goes and yes he wants to get a 1000 games under his belt but he will
want to go out on a high whilst achieving his goal.

I can understand the short term appeal of Warnock. However, if there is a chance Jones can be tempted, I would move for him now whilst he is available

Eh lads and lasses isn’t it great this manager sacking malarky. Yesterday we all wanted to top ourselves and now we can’t wait to get to VP on Saturday!

 

Fordy surprises me on that one. He keeps saying we need to think bigger but is championing Kevin Nolan who has achieved nothing as a manager.

 

The biggest problem we had under Bowyer was a negative manager with a dire style of play that did not get the best out of the attacking players at the club.

So why on earth would we hire a carbon copy in Nolan?

McCall getting that far under Rahic of all people shows he's not shit.

 

No chance. Rupp and Rhodes are not that daft to do this. Fans would stay away in their droves, with the ones remaining ensuring an even more toxic atmosphere prevails.
