That leads me to Stuart or Warnock. I’m pretty sure Rhodes would want to interview any of the other candidates before choosing. Simply no need to interview Warnock. Everyone knows him and what he will bring. ‘Do you want it?’. If Stuart is interested he will very quickly say what his terms are. That may take longer. The club needs Drury to hold the fort till the cavalry rolls in which won’t be long.

I can understand the short term appeal of Warnock. However, if there is a chance Jones can be tempted, I would move for him now whilst he is available

 

He is good friends with Stuart. Rupp might have some input, but yes I think it is between the two, or maybe both that would be great.

Nathan Jones' appointment effectively sees us giving up on promotion IMHO.

The lads won't adapt overnight to Jones' style of football, and Jones certainly won't have the players he would like at his disposal.

Warnock is an all-guns-blazing bid for the autos, with the difference in style much less pronounced by with all of Warnock's smarts and experience to lead the team on.

Personally, long-term, I'd go Jones - but if it's all about going up (which the board haven't proven), then it's Warnock.

Warnock is the man but better be quick as there are other vacancies, though none as attractive as Bradford City.

 

Apart from the owner Drury is the only connection to the old regime, he has to go for me and the new manager brings his own men it, OK maybe a more expensive deal but hopefully this appointment is the correct one.

 

Well he’s had 16 manager jobs and 8 have been ‘up north’. His Mrs won’t be coming up with him.

He was on the radio the other day saying Sharon, his wife, has given him permission to take one last job this season but then that's it. So he retires after taking Bradford City up this season and his successor, perhaps Nathan Jones, takes over for the League One campaign in June. Sounds good!
