Warnock short term - year and a half deal

Long term approach - Nathan Jones, Paul Clement and Paul Tisdale all good candidates.

    100% not McCall.

This team in the short term needs a strong manager in the shape of warnock.

Warnock would get us up, 4 month deal to end of season with a bonus for promotion.

Wow just been told by fellow City fan whilst waiting for my granddaughter outside her school, I didn't think they would pull the plug going to be interesting.
Think it could be Paul Hurst.

It is difficult, if we are going short term Warnock and Stuart, long term Nathan Jones, but I want the long term manager in, so he can start to settle in without having the responsibility, and prepare for next season. Expensive, but essential we start to build our club.

Completely agree and I thought that whilst putting it together.

However it's a list of realistic out of work managers. I no doubt have missed some as people have noted above.

Haven't bothered putting managers that are in work as the list is endless & I doubt we can afford the compensation.

Warnock,no thanks he's another hoof ball manager. Nathan jones or Paul Tisdale for me ,their teams play good passing football.McCall's had his chance at City and I don't think he will get us out of this slump.

From what I've seen from his style of play and showing he has what it takes from getting out of this division I would go with Nathan Jones. Got Luton promoted from this league and fired them up through league 1 with Harford just nudging them over the line.

Not sure Warnock would be arsed dropping into league two to manage us? Probably not worth the hassle, for him.

Nathan Jones was impressive at Luton, less so at Stoke. I think he’d top my list but not sure he’d go for it, unless he thinks he could get success with us. Could still see him getting a chance a league higher at least, if a position became vacant.

Warnock for me, the statement released suggests we are still hoping to achieve promotion. I think this is doable and therefore an experienced manager who can motivate is essential - that is Warnock all over. If this is the chosen route though, the appointment needs to be made in the next 48 hours as we have no time to waste.

However if we are seeking to appoint a more long term manager then my choice would be Nathan Jones.

Whoever it is, I think it will need to be an attack minded manager who plays good football.

We've had too much pragmatism lately and more of it, results aside, is not the way to get fans back in the building. Otherwise we may as well have kept Bowyer.

I think Clement is over-rated, but yes Jones or Tisdale who have records of building clubs, with boards not always the brightest are my favourites

Apologies to anyone I offend, but I wouldn't now say no to Steve Evans - he basically set up that Mansfield team who just missed out last season, but Rhodes is unlikely to sanction that and Evans is doing a good job at Gillingham (and before anyone says it, no, we can't see we're a bigger club!!)
