So if the dislike of the owners has nothing to do with where they are from why bring it up?

    Who did bring it up?

A guy who allegedly exists as part of someone's anecdote?

Is it relevant to this thread and the posts and concerns herein?

Maybe I am being naive but is there really anybody who dislikes the owners because they are German? I though anyone who disliked them did so because they felt they were:

    1. Ruining our club
    2. Making decisions that fans disagree with
    3. Sacking a City legend
    4. Stopping the progress we were making
    5. Trying to micro manage
    6. Poor signings (particularly last January)

Maybe other people can add to the list, but surely in this day and age nobody wants rid of them because they're German. That'd be like wanting Stuart sacked cos he has ginger hair (okay, strawberry blonde). It is just daft.

If he had said go back to Baildon would he still be racist ? Would people from Baildon be offended? Would people from Wrose be offended for them? He's not even German he's Bosnian, this country is fall of soft shites being offended by everything rather than seeing the actual problems. I'd like him to feck off to Syria but he isn't from there hope that's ok with all the remain voting gender fluid corbynites out there

I didn’t say it was racist. I asked if where they are from isn’t important why does it keep getting mentioned by some of those that want them out.

So why does the fact that they are German keep getting mentioned by some of those that want them out. I’ve never seen Newcastle fans mention that their owner is English, or whatever he is.

A few people have asked a similar question on here and the answer is simply, No. However that's just because it falls outside the legal definition of racism. Whether that's right or wrong is not really a point for debate. It is what it is.

There will be a small amount of people at City who are influenced by the owners nationality obviously. It would be stupid to say that 100% of people are not influenced by race or nationality when we know that people with racist tendencies do actually exist.

If anybody is planning a protest my advice would simply be to keep any mention or symbols relating to the owners background away. You only need one sign or placard which looks like they are being treated at all differently because of their nationality and all the relevant points are lost.

You're correct, in that. Another point is in the way the owners are trying to run the club overall - implementing the 'German (Or European) model'. I for one don't necessarily object to that ........ But such a transition takes time. Our owners appear to be looking for shortcuts in everything they do. It just can't work like that in English football, as things stand.

Dont think anyone is really offended by it and I partly agree that the term 'racist' isn't that helpful. It is however xenophobic to use someones nationality in a derogatory way. Its very easy to not be offended by something that doesn't affect you personally. Rather than being offended I would say that using their nationality as an insult tells you more about the person using this type of rhetoric than any feelings of offnce. It would make you look like a neanderthal moron. What are your views on using nationality as a means of abuse? Do you find it amusing? Do you think its justified?

I think Rahic is a *@?$ and I don't care where he is from or where he fecks off to. I don't care about anybody's skin colour I don't care about where they hail from. But his permanent residence before moving to England was Germany, and you know what I think it's fair to say that's where he will go back to when we finally get rid of him so if your going to tell him to feck off somewhere I think it's fair to tell him to feck off back to Germany. Now if he's called him a German so and so or Bosnian so and so then that would be different. But he didn't did he, this country does have a racism problem but if anyone thinks that what was racist or xenophobic then they need to lock themselves indoors because everything on the outside will offend them.

exactly stock - people label the owners as 'the germans' but when lawn and rhodes were in charge they weren't called 'the yorkshiremen'. people are using their nationality against them sometimes, which is not racist but is xenophobic.

People tend to latch on to whatever makes someone different, a way of saying 'you're out of the group, you're not one of us.' Mostly a knee-jerk psychological reaction that no thought goes into whatsoever. And there's the problem, if people would only realise it makes them look idiotic and does absolutely nothing to help them get their point across.

Racist, and xenophobic. these terms are coming up more and more often now, and the reason is because the happy clappers are quickly running out of reasoned responses and sensible defences to whats going on so theyre left to resort to this to try and discredit people.

Declan McManus is a strange one. Why would you change your name to Elvis when you have a perfectly good given name.

If anybody wants to make an effective protest this is the way to do it. By E-Mail to Stefan using moderate language no offensive Or xenophobic comments. But setting out your reasons for wanting change in a sensible way if enough people did it maybe he could be persuaded to intervene in the way some people want
