What we'd all love to see is an ambitious plan that has a level of investment by our owners. But it isnt happening.
So we need to think about what the club wants to be in 5, 10 years time. Keeping it cheap to attract the masses wont cut it. And I think its outdated anyway. The next generation of fans, consumers and younger consumers in particular, want quality and are prepared to pay for it. The games changed , times have changed and we haven't changed with it. The 'poor little Bradford' image is over played. Yes we're a working class city, but so are many others.
Prices are going to have to go up, so we need to look at when and how to do it, and in what context. The playing budget - and squad size - is going to have to come down. We need to invest in the fabric of the club that might generate improvement over the longer term. The pitch, scouting, coaching. Invest in those. Do it properly. Focus on youth and embrace being a feeder club. Create a more modern playing style (which I think Stuart can actually do), focus on pace, technique.
Basically, Edins plan, but done properly.

Again I ask , what part of Bradford City has progressed since Rupp arrived ?
You may state that Rupp was duped, but he is a man that is worth a serious amount of money and is a succesful businessman in hs own right.
Yet I hear this agruement that he was duped ? didnt he do due diligenence both into his business partner to which you freely admit he didnt know ? or due diligence into a company in a particuler field (Football) he had no interest in,
I put it to you he is a chancer and was sold a pup.WilsdenBantam, bantamdave41 and Fordy117 like this. -

It’s important not to generalise whole generations with nostalgia, every generation has had issues. Football was at it’s worst in the 70s and 80s in terms of violence, racism etc. The trouble is while most grew out of it the odd idiot didn’t ( I believe the guy who made the comment was of an age where he probably started going in that era), and now you get kids(mid/late teens) emulating them and treating them like heroes wanting to be like big bad Millwall or Leeds from the 80s. The worst behaviour I’ve seen in recent years at a match was a bloke in his 30s/40s getting kicked out with his kids against Bury.
The younger ones in general are harmless, and laughable when compared with previous generations. The big difference been tolerance levels and cameras and phones catching bad behaviour in action. I bet a Joe Cooke or Ces Podd would rather have played now than when they did and not just for the money.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... We've launched a complaint to th EFA over the abuse from their fans about the fire and to McCall.
Newport have welcomed the complaint.

Well looking at Newport's pitch our lads will think their at home, so the pitch won't be a advantage.
