    Ok. Let’s play guess the formation, because now we’ve got three central midfielders (four of you count Akpan), and still no left sided player.
    Back to 433? Which wasn’t successful. Can’t help but think that Devit is a luxury signing and we’re gonna be in the same situation as Doyle being shoehorned in just because.

    Great to get two in. But slightly concerned they are both loans. We will be worrying in December about recalls and will need to start again in the summer

    Six players (Donaldson, Henley, Longridge, Palmer, Richards-Everton & Vaughan) made their debuts against Cambridge United, gaining numbers 1276-1281.

    Edit: I think the Preston match needs to be added in. Bear with me, while I have a look.
    Edit 2: I think French & Hornby are numbers 1282 & 1283, so the next debut (Cooke?) will be 1284.

    I have to have a little smile if we'd had a midfield three of Devitt, Cooke and Palmer back in Rahics day there would be melt down, "our midfield all f*****g loans" :).

    Not for me. Get em in. We may have won our last 2 but the midfield has been shocking. Making it string wont detract from either box, which is where we've been strong.

    Neither have play a minute since pre-season and not sure what how much they played in pre-season so expect them both or at least 1 of them to start from the bench and come on for the last 20-30 minutes.

    On a point of order with the clubs statement he's not had an initial spell at the Utilita Energy Stadium (had to think where that was at first). It was Valley Parade then. They'd do well to remember that this heritage stuff is more than a series of numbers sewn into some polyester.

    O Neills between 12 noon and 3pm is £1.10 a pint of Krusovice.
    Don't know where you were drinking but i did 4 full days hard boozing, with a massage thrown in the mix and only spent £250 ;)

    And people clamour for strong sides in crap like this because we were out of form, I know players can get injured at anytime but to do it in something as meaningless as a friendly grates. Shame as he could have made a big impact.

    Scraping a win against a struggling Northampton doesn't scream too good for league 2 to me. Think people have got a bit carried away with the first positive 30 minutes out of the whole season. I'll judge the above at xmas time depending on game time.
