No left side midfield player? What about Connor Wood? We've seen that he is better playing further forward plus we have already seen what a good delivery he has from wide on the left. Also it was his corner the other night that lead to the own goal.

Yes, for me Wood now classes as a left midfielder - it would be a mistake to ask him to play left back, where he was very poor last season.

 

I know exactly where you are coming from but these are the right type of loans for me.

We have a good chance of signing all 3 come next summer

Compared to before where we were training up other clubs youngsters and getting players who we had no chance of getting in at the end of the season

Devitt clearly isn't wanted by Grayson no matter what - it's crystal clear

Cooke was on the transfer list and last year of his contract. He won't be returning.

Bottom line is they've to produce for us. Let's concentrate on that.

I think we'll play 433, with Devitt right, Palmer central (probably deeper) and Cooke left. Scannell, Vaughan and Donaldson up front.

 

But it's mainly because of Rahic that we're in the position of having to rely on loans. If we could have offloaded more of the dross that Edin brought in then I'm sure we'd have had all three here on permanent contracts rather than loans.

 

With these two they are effectively signings as the club wanted both of them out as opposed to players regaining fitness or youth players out to prove themselves. I expect at Christmas they will become permanent

Really pleased with this signing, going by his record at Carlisle recently in this league. I have a feeling he will do really well here

 

Does anyone remember him coming back to city - think with Accrington? He got subbed and hadn't been given stick from our fans as I recall. They scored the winner he jumped up out of the dug out and was giving us fans some right grief like finger to the mouth.
