Grinding out the rest of the season for what ?? disappointment of facing yet another season in L2 watching the most negative football imaginable, the frustration of seeing things 17000 fans can but the manager refuses to, he proved yesterday his first half team selection compared to the second half was woeful not forgetting they are all his players
Have you not seen enough in the 76 (18 months) games he's been in charge 30 wins 24 draw 22 loses (according to Wiki) and the worst brand of football imaginable to realise he's not the man to take us up let alone keep us there
Yes we have injury problems that's not unique so does every other club at some point in the season but they change things round and make the best of what they have we seem to shoehorn players into a system that's proven not to work
Cook was never going to repeat last season's heroics and replacing him with Derbyshire was pure attacking suicide
Won't even touch on Jake Young (he's proving that himself) am done with giving him 10/15 matches I've seen enough in the last 76 to realise it's time to join the "managerial merry go round" again I do however fear the credentials of the "selection committee"
Hats off to Hughes a fantastic player who risks tainting that reputation by trying to be a manager trading on passed reputation may sell season tickets for us but it's not a recipe for success

Moore went into a high pressure job and delivered which is something a lot of the other candidates havent done ............. they've delivered at clubs with little or no pressure on them .......... this is a job for a man who can handle the pressure and is well liked by the public .............. sadly I think he will be in a better job within the next few weeks

I believe I saw the video your quoting and the players who were interviews said enough without saying too much, if that makes sense, young Bobby was a breath of fresh air, straight talking kid Bradford City fan off the Kop, he's living his dream and many more Bradford City's fans dream, I hope this is the first step on a very long successful career for the lad.

I think this is the video clip, loved Bobby's comment about hearing it was going to be his league debut, I got to know on Friday couldn't sleep last night but no pressure I know what these fans can offer and how loud they can be, imagine 19 years, old home debut he talks well for a footballer but what a day for the kid.

 

He was approached by York last week, but didn't want to drop that far down and they've spent a lot of money (for that level) very badly it seems has the new ownership. Press also saying they reached out to the Cowleys before deciding on Neal Ardley.

 

Not sure I'd bring Darren in after his post match comment on Sky "I think the Bradford fans have gone home happy" seriously Darren, first half was shocking Hughes had little choice but to change it, we looked better and certainly offered more going forward, but overall created little, we had one shot on target and although it was a great strike from Gilly (he should do it more often pull the trigger) I for one was raging mad because once again Mark Hughes got it completely wrong.

 

Thats fair comment, more reason for not asking the players who were drafted in to play a system many fans could see were struggling or couldn't play, start with the formation he changed to at half time the players looked happy to get forward and attack Grimsby.
I'm with you with regards staying with Hughes as long as he has us in the mix, we cant give him another season he's had the tools for the job the buck stops at the managers door, no excuses.

 

I was queuing for a pint on North Parade after the game and some Grimsby fans were infront of me. They were saying second half we looked brighter and they looked poor, but until the goal nobody in the stands felt the fear that we were going to be a problem and I agreed. Lots of almost flashes but little penetration. With the flat back 5 we have, whoever is in those 2 attacking mid/wing slots are completely irrelevant unless they try do everything on their own. Walker and Pointon were passengers in the first half, both (but Pointon especially) came alive once we changed systems and it's not the first time this season, far better with ball to feet and going towards goal.

He surely must change this going forward? His stubbornness is becoming a joke. There seems to be something off with this season, cant put my finger on it but the squad don't look as together as last season. Yes there's a lot of new players, but the smiles don't seem to be there as much as last season off the pitch. On the pitch, there's little fluidity. And the amount of injuries we have racked up by September is alarming.

 

Another good post Jordon the highlighted is exactly how I feel, although we haven't scored many, up until Saturdays (get out of jail goal) from Gilly our players have looked very subdued with regards our goal celebrations, something doesnt seem right.

 

I did enjoy watching that, all smashing young lads filled with enthusiasm ! Especially young Bobby

That why I think he will end up at either Championship or league 1 level .......... just a pipe dream I suppose he did a great job where the pressure level is on a different scale to ours

 

It's a sad indictment that the fans would do a better job at running this football club than the clowns who actually get paid to do it.

 

Listen we could have the best up and coming manager but that up and coming manager will always be handicapped with the fooking sham of a structure above him.

We dont sort that out now asap then this will go on and on
