He'd get us up, and playing football fans would buy into. 100% my choice.

Your booing and not the formation change altered the outcome of the game? I'm impressed.

Who said my booing changed the game? It was an expression of emotion aimed a completely clueless manager who doesn't seem to want to learn from his mistakes he's made a few games ago. I didn't boo when he got away with it against Colchester, nor did I boo when he got away with it against Crewe, both games he got lucky big time with late goals in the half despite woeful performances. Today he didn't get lucky, I don't expect a professional to make the same mistakes over and again. If he chooses to bore me to the point of utter despair again I will once again choose to voice my anger.

I thought it was two 6ft+ defenders allowing a 5'8" guy to jump between them unchallenged that cost us the points.

Technically you are indeed correct. but what actually led to this was a team sent out with no idea who was doing what despite our illustrious managers noble efforts. In its individuality its poor marking from defenders who should better. In truth its actually down to a team that had no confidence in this three at the back set up and a midfield with less life than a tramps vest resulting in no reaction whatsoever after the goal had been scored. A better side than Grimsby would have had the game sewn up at half time, we are indebted to the fact there a few teams capable of punishing such terrible management in this divison.

Yes you are right technically I am correct. By the same token your assessment of the situation is in part correct. However you don't give Paul Hurst any credit in making life difficult for us in the first half, there are indeed some good coaches in this league. My own view, for it is worth is that we should have stuck with last season's formation but recruited some better players to play that system. We look better with four at the back, Richards and Halliday are both capable of getting forward when needed. Unfortunately a lot of our recruitment has been geared to playing three at the back.

Inane rambling? He said everything you’d expect him to say on the back of a poor first half and better second half.

We had a lot of inexperience on the pitch at the end, Richards, Tulloch, Afoke, Pointon. Hughes recognised the senior players we are missing. But these are the players we have to work with. Soon we’ll have Chapman, Cook, Pattison back, and will have a much better balance of youth and experience.

It can be frustrating, and I think a lot of fans are still suffering a play off hangover, and are not convinced by the transfer window. I’m one of the fans prepared to see this through, but I must say I think we’re all agreed that 3-5-1-1 or whatever we played at the start today is not the way to go. Keep the faith!

I'll give him to the end of his contract which is the end of this season. Enough time to see if his time at city is a failure or success. If he doesn't get us promoted by the end of this season I want the club to say au revoir and look down another route.
Maybe Steve Evans will be available if he doesn't get Stevenage another promotion....

I don’t think Hughes is in much danger yet but he should be. His stubbornness to stick with a system that the players are clearly uncomfortable with is beyond belief.

    Unless he is pushed before
He will walk at the end of his contract and not before regardless of our final position
Either Sparks grows a pair and we employ someone ready to compete (Pete Wilde)
Or we face yet another season in the Khazi league
    MH is taking us nowhere
