If its not a done deal and he has had input in our recruitment as Sparks said then it can only mean we've gone about it slightly underhand.

 

What makes you think it's not a done deal?

 

I don't think it would be "poaching" if he does come. As people point out, we won't pay compo - so he'll probably leave of his own accord. I doubt we'd be matching his league one salary either.
The point I was making about "THIS IS SO BRADFORD CITY" - is that we don't do simple. We do basket case, unexpected, edge of the seat madness decisions. To prove a point, I wouldn't be suprised if it's not Adams, but some complete unthought of manager that non of us guessed. Could be Drury promoted to head coach, or Sparks could have persuaded Roy Hodgson to come and give us a crack. You just never know!

 

After watching that bag of shine today I wouldn't want either manager.

The fact he didn't deny Bradford for in for him and the fact Bradford haven't appointed a care taker is very telling. I am assuming its compo that is getting discussed.

 

Adams may rock up here in a few days, I won't profess to be ITK on this, so time will tell. But I sincerely hope we've covered all our bases here. Think about this from Adams perspective - if we've made an offer a couple of weeks ago, what's the best way of him protecting his interests? You keep your options open by agreeing to come here by means of a 'gentleman's agreement', to be squared away after the playoffs. That way, you know you're either in League 1 or you're making a move to a club with greater resources at this level for next season. It'd be the smart thing to do all round. And even if his intentions were to come here regardless, you can bet he'll have another think on the back of their promotion today.
