New Kit

Im imagining the meltdown now. Grown men who breathe through their mouth saying 'we aint L33ds' and having tantrums on Twitter....

 

Wonder if the 1903 club will get to find out first

 

So something on the lines of one of these strips I prefer the strip on the right the 1981/82 strip if so.

 

I would have thought they have to contrast a bit otherwise both might clash if say we were playing Preston or someone.

With Ryan inferring it being a historical time for the club its got to be our promotion from division r to division 3 under Roy McFarland, which means the strip on the right.

 

Any strip that we wear and achieve sucsess are fondly remembered, no I don't remember this kit fondly.

 

I suppose the one on the right is bearable. The one on the left is horrible. I loathe and detest all those late 70s/early 80s kits with Admiral logos all over them.
I'd much rather we leave any white kits for the away strip and stick to claret and amber for the home strip.

 

I'm with you very much a traditionalist strops at home.

The kit will "retell a famous story". Now for me, that means either the FA Cup winning shirt, or the shirt we wore at the Wembley cup final. I don't see the promotions we had in the 70's being relevant to todays younger fans (or even the current players). It won't be the 85 promotion shirt, as there's a sad side to that kit.

So I'm going hoops - either one around the neck (FA Cup winners), or hoops instead of stripes which will evoke memories of the glory season when we got beat 5-0 at Wembley Sadly, not a big fan of either of those shirts. Maybe they'll pimp them up a bit.

 

I hope its not anything like that kit

 

Pretty much like the majority of kits in recent memory. Hardly inspiring is it.

 

We need to get out of this league and 30 years ago we did with a white kit. It will be the 81 kit.

 

Tenuous I know but the story of the history, Manningham Rugby club becoming Bradford City, a nod to our woolen industry, got to be the Mill chimney design!
