All white as in we surrender would be appropriate.......

 

It is for an anniversary, so I’m going for a white home kit with a claret and Amber pin stripe

can not work anniversary to give us a white kit except couple of promotions from bottom division 40 and 45 years ago

 

Perhaps it will be the promotion kit of 1985? Also remembers the 56.
Not sure how that will go down though. Perhaps a bit much for some.

Indeed. Sparks was talking about bringing back the good times and memories of success too. Also said that the shirt would show we mean business. Can't see that shirt ticking those boxes. Which brings the other recent promotion shirts, which are all pretty similar. I hope it's not the 1911 shirt - drawstring collars don't sell these days.

It was the comment about guaranteeing claret and Amber on the pitch for home games that led me to the white idea because if it was claret and Amber why say it

not sure. It was just something that was said

 

Didn’t Sparks say something along the lines of “the shirt marks from a time when we did something really special, and those when they see it will know we really mean business next season”? Not sure it’s an anniversary as such, more of a moment in time.

 

Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather we have a team of players next season that show we mean business rather than a shirt.

true, I just read that as an anniversary otherwise why bother. In same article he made the comment about claret and Amber which if the kit was going to follow the traditional mix of claret and Amber why bother saying it.
