New CEO?

We are getting the band back together!

 

Give over. Baldwins stock is high now after EFL and Burnley from premier league.

Whilst Im sure he has an afinity to the club his stock and demand (if he stays in football) will see him much higher up the pyramid.

 

can not imagine he is going to have much input or say in the next six months.

 

I would think his stock has dropped after the EFL. His notice period is longer than the period he has been there before he quit.

If his notice period is 6 months I can not see him then having to sit out another 6 months, maybe if he was going to a competitor not to part of the same system.

 

Surely he will have had access to privileged information that will give any club he becomes CEO of an advantage over other clubs. Would have thought that would be in his contract.

 

not sure what advantage he could take to a club. Does it matter what deals they have lined up or anything. City are not competing with the EFL.

if he was going to the PL then maybe.

to be honest I don’t think it matters anywhere as he isn’t coming.

 

But he will have privileged knowledge about the inner workings of clubs. That might assist another club in the transfer market. Agreed he probably isn't coming anyway.

 

Would he? Surely as CEO he was more about strategic decisions rather than day to day examination of details of each of the 72 clubs.

how long was he actually there before quitting?

 

Think the 6 months has come from the BBC article which says he will leave in 6 months after 4 months in the job

Seems strange that this has come out at the same time as Parry as Chairman of the EFL throwing his weight behind the Pool/Utd bid to take over the PL with, it would appear, nothing having been discussed with EFL clubs.

 

Not strange at all, its exactly why is come out at the same time as Parry. Baldwin obviously knew f..all about it and Parry as Chairman kept him in the dark. Therefore Baldwin will have accepted his fate , done the honourable thing and fallen on his sword, accepting that as CEO his tenure was tenable.

 

It's in the EFL statement that he'll leave in 6 months time
"Mr Baldwin became CEO earlier this year but having now considered his future, has informed the League that he will depart his role in six months’ time."

If I was a betting man I’d still put money on Jenkins joining in the next 4-6 weeks.
