A rumour from not a good source! So what you that desperate for rumours that you will believe or discuss anything?

A rumour has to come from a creditable source. If Parker or the local journo in Swansea had mentioned this then maybe lets discuss it but for Nixon and The Sun might as well discuss the rubbish in your bin.

 

Was mentioned to us on TCA months ago mate, has a soft spot for us ever since we played Swansea in the cup final. Sees us as having potential for some reason. Possible interest in buying but price was completely unrealistic. Didn't hear anything about it since so assumed the interest had gone.

 

You and that Nixon guy have so much in common.

 

Why would he help us find a new buyer for the club also?

 

If not for himself I reckon he would be better connected than our elusive pair......

 

Would be a brilliant appointment. There you have a man with the knowledge, expertise and experience of rebuilding a football club and taking it to the premier league, europa league and winning silverware. Not sure we'd find someone else with that CV who'd be interested in a 4th division side like this.

 

Is it possible that Rupp has realised that his evaluation isn’t realistic? Every day with Covid around another few quid is being knocked off its value. Let’s face it, as with anything, the value is only worth what somebody is prepared to pay.

If I was Rupp I think I’d be just cutting my losses and moving on.

 

cannot support this enough if true. lost his mojo a bit towards the end with swansea but hes clearly showed hes got the nous and expertise needed to take a club up the divisions in a sustainable way with an actual plan

It would be ironic if our "fans" had instigated
a deal! He clearly is a man with nous and he
would no doubt bring us up in the football
world.

However,if it's a repeat from the past and
the reality is it's just dreaming then we are
setting ourselves up for disappointment.

I can't see a business man investing as long
as a pandemic is controlling just about everything.

 

From what has been told to TCA, Rupp is happy enough to wait it out until someone meets his valuation. That's quoted as being around £10m but surely would be open to some negotiation.

 

You could pick up Wigan Athletic with a modern ground for way less than that at the moment. And thats in league 1. He paid over the odds for it in the first place for a club that was punching above its weight in terms of competing financially and had reached as far as it could go without major investment.
