I agree. I guess the League share is worth something but apart from that the only thing I see is the potential of the players we have on contract and of course the future potential that any one sees in the club ie. ‘ possible big club again at some stage ‘

Im talking around the average price mark which is around £300. I've had a look at Forest and Birmingham who are around the £400 mark. Both big Cities like ours. The average season ticket sales in the championship is around the 13000 mark.
Its not a myth. We get good sales becasue they are dirt cheap.

Just looking at Rotherham and Barnsley, they are both over £300. Early bird renewals at Luton were £400.
Alot of our fans live in cuckoo land when it comes to just how cheap we sell ours for.

Yes overall you could be correct but there was no guarantees with the McBurnie transfer if he's not gone on to better things.

They didn't know it would be short term. Logically you could say it would be short term but then you could say the same about Burnley.

It would be a proper gauge to how much the fans valued the club. Depends on the price structure upto getting to the championship, if we leave ticket prices at £150 and get promoted from league 1 with that then its a 100% price rise. That would make a lot of people think twice.Yet its low end prices for the championship at £300. Always a problem when most of your fan base thinks £150 is the norm when it clearly is a one off amongst evrything else.

Well I hope it’s true. Let’s get rid of this constant failure we have at the club currently.

Are we comparing prices to clubs two divisions above us?

Yes, a lot more! And we got more from the Wells transfer than from either O'Brien or Hamilton just in transfer fees and add-ons from Town. And that's without adding in the sell-on fee when he was sold to Burnley. With sell-ons, McBurnie still shades it by quite a margin over Wells.

Well someone said we would get 25000 in the championship. We'd have to sell around 17000 season tickets (4000 above the average) and would fans pay championships prices?

To watch a competitive championship side playing decent football? Absolutely. Prices for other clubs not too far from here, in the championship, seem to be around 250-300 quid. If we priced at that level, we’d sell the place out most weeks. Why would fans of Huddersfield, Rotherham, Barnsley be willing to pay those prices but not Bradford?

Exactly. I’ve just edited my post because I wanted to check what the going rate for other clubs who are northern based. 250-300 seems to be the lower end of the going rate. I see no reason why other fans would pay, but we wouldn’t.

This idea that we can only attract fans if its cheap, regardless of quality, is a nonsense.

Barnsley and Rotherham are both over £300.
Blackburn are £350, Preston around £300.
My point is to get 20-25000 we'd have to sell a hell of a lot of tickets at £300 to fans who are used to paying £150 which is still around £100 cheaper than a league 2 ticket.

If the corona virus wasn't around now would be a good time to look at the structure of season ticket prices coupled with a promise from the owner/s although with the salary cap, bigger crowds with more income has less of an influence in the bottom two divisions.before the salary cap i'd have said £150 L2, £225 L1 rising to £300 in the championship. Promotions and rise in your stock value relays to the cost of watching the rise in quality of that product.

We'd have to work our way up to that, sure. It's time to start driving this club forward, and the supporters will need to do their part.
