Whilst I agree Evans is a horrible man and I wouldn’t want him at the club, his track record is up there with the best of them. As for saying he gets success from spending, not actually true. Spent nothing at Crawley and had success. Spent very little at Rotherham and guided them into the Championship from being in L2. Don’t confuse signing lots of players and moulding his squads with spending shed loads of money.
Other than that, spot on. I wouldn’t want him anywhere near the club

We were garbage last week for the whole 90mins and he refused to change it. And again yesterday we played similarly for the 1st 45mins. Amazing (and not a surprise to fans), we played much better in the second half when we tried to play football.
That’s why fans are starting to call for his head. If a player makes the same mistake every week, you’d want them out of the team and not given another season. How is it any different for a coach?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Fordy117 likes this. -
Maybe @NorthernMonkey is talking about wage budget rather than transfer budget. I don't know the answer but did they sign people on free transfers, out of contract etc?

Remember, it was HE that told me that I was wrong in the first place, but then posted inaccuracies himself.

So we just allow all of this season targets and aims to go out of the window. What kind of business does that?
Hopkin is responsible for on the pitch matters and is failing at this moment.
We should of just kept Collins if we're going to just make up excuses for on the pitch matters.
Dire football
Clueless tactics
0 goal in 3 games
1 up top.
2nd from bottom.
This has nothing to do with Edin or a 5 year recovery plan.
Hopkin has to go if we go down as he would of failed and won't be the man to lead us back up.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...trevor likes this. -

I cannot imagine him being interested in leaving his hometown club to join us.
I would look no further than unemployed Paul Hurst -
Hurst or Evans for me.

Why would he even consider coming to City.
Plus the track record of past players as our management hasn’t brought any success recently. -
In his 1st season in charge of Rotherham, he guided them to promotion from League2 without spending a penny on transfer fees. In fact he ended the season +£370k after selling Grabban to Bournemouth.
He spent £159k in his 1st season in League1, finishing 4th and winning the PO final. So in his 2yrs at that point, he was still £211k in profit on transfers, delivering back to back promotions. What worth were those 2 promotions and did that offset any wage bills spent during those 2 seasons?
Now in the Championship, this is where they then spent big. And even then, after taking into consideration their player sales, they still only ended with a circa £170k loss in the transfer market.
In his 2nd season in the Championship (2015/16), he was replaced in the September.
So I ask again Monkey, how the frig did he manage to have a top4 budget TWICE in League1, when he only spent one season in that league....!
I think it might be YOU that is “wrong on Rotherham”!!!!!Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
And as I’ve said, how does he know what their player budget was? And for that matter, what their net spend was for those seasons.
Surely if he’s going to tell me I’m wrong, I have every right to ask him to back his claim up?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
How can he have had the 4th highest L1 budget for TWO SEASONS when they were only in L1 for ONE SEASON...!
Is it REALLY that difficult to grasp???Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
Hopkin took the reigns for the Blackpool game our 7th game on 8th September and we were in 17th place with 6 points, He has managed to win just 7 times in 26 league games possibly competing for the worst record in the whole football league -
