I have tried to fully back Stuart, I really have.
I can't anymore, I've changed my vote, McCall needs to leave.
He can't control his temper and his morale isn't lifting the spirit of the team. We need a manager that is good at lifting players spirits, if I was a Bradford City player I would feel pretty deflated after hearing his post match interviews recently.
I really hope I'm wrong, I hope he turns it around and proves everyone wrong, but I'm sorry, I just can't back him as a manager anymore. I don't see him turning this around.
Stuarts attitude overall isn't one of uplifting a teams spirit, it's one of anger and resentment, I don't like how he gets angry at the post match interviewer. He had his chance to come back and vindicate himself after being unfairly sacked by Rahic, Stuart is starting to fail now. Stuart did well last time before Rahic tried to micro manage him and then sacked him, but last time Stuart inherited a good squad from Parky.
No excuses anymore, Stuart, you're a Bradford City legend on the pitch, but off the pitch you're not the man to take us back up to League One. The way things are going we're going to slide further down the table.
Again I really hope I'm wrong, I'm not one to be pessimistic with my outlooks but I gotta be realistic about what I'm seeing on and off the pitch, Stuart has been given a good solid chance to prove himself and he's failing.
I know people are saying people above Stuart behind the scenes are also to blame, but look at where we were when Parky took over, he took a shoestring budget team and turned us into Playoff winners and cup runners, I don't think Stuarts ability is anywhere near that.
I expected Mid-table this season but right now we're gonna be struggling to stay in the football league and I don't want to see our club end up like Notts County, York City, Chesterfield and Stockport County.
Sorry Stuart buddy but I think it's time you step aside and let someone come and give the fans and squad the morale boost we all sorely need.
We shouldn't be going into a match against Tonbridge Angels worrying about getting beat again, we should be excited for the FA Cup, instead we're worried about being humiliated by a team 2 leagues below us.
It's very possible they have the ability to beat us, simply because this squad is lacking the morale boost, team spirit, training and leadership it sorely needs. If we got beat by Tonbridge and had better morale on and off the pitch it wouldn't matter, but for me when I see morale getting lower and lower week in and week out it's not a good sign. Low Morale leads to relegation.
Sorry a bit of an essay there by myself, please prove me wrong Stuart, get me happy clapping again.

Roy Keane made an interesting comment about the Man U players last night; he said it shouldn't be Ole's job to motivate them once they cross the line because they should already have all the motivation they need inside themselves, and he's right.
I know there's a world of difference between playing at Old Trafford and Valley Parade, but if you are a professional footballer at any level, you should always have the passion and desire to win every game and if you don't, you might just be in the wrong job. I'd love to see a bit of fire in the belly from our lads tomorrow and a bit of belief in themselves and each other, because at this level, that alone can sometimes be the difference in whether you get something from the game or you don't. -
Who has said SMc should be sacked? I don't see any point in doing that until the future of the club is better understood with a new CEO and hopefully a new owner. But that's not the point. Similarly, whether the squad is under-performing or not is irrelevant in the context of what you posted.
Your original point was that it couldn't be called his squad because he has only brought 4 players in. The inference being he has some kind of 'get out of jail' card. The facts say otherwise. A majority of the first team squad are in the squad because SMc signed them, re-signed them, offered them new contracts, didn't get rid when he could have done and promoted untried youngsters (who you say are not ready) into the squad. All of those decisions were rightly SMc's as the manager. And all of this at a time when there is headroom in the salary cap, money to spend on the squad according to SMc and spare capacity within the squad numbers.
The squad as it is is SMc's and that's his responsibility. He should be judged on how his squad performs. how his squad is prepared, the tactics and formation used by his squad and ultimately on the results of the games his squad plays in. We shouldn't be making excuses for him.Bantamsteve, Faithful Bantam, Bigrod and 2 others like this. -
Whether it has been forced upon due to our poor recruitment or it is his choice, I do like the fact that McCall is giving so many young players a go.
We have Staunton playing regularly and then other academy players such as Cousin-Dawson, Sikora and Scales all in and around the first team. Add to that the other first team players such as Watt, Wood, French and Cooke who are all early twenties.
I’m not saying they will all make it as quality players but at least we’re giving a few younger players a chance. I’d rather watch a team of prospects lose than a team of overpaid, over the hill flops lose like we have had in recent years. You never know, a few of them may develop into decent players and valuable assets.Tennesseebantam, bryan groom, simons (woking bantam) and 2 others like this. -

A new Manager can instil a new mindset/ideas and passion into various players.
I am now firmly in the "McCall Out" camp after seeing that he has dropped back into his previous ways/excuses.
If the Manager was Bowyer, Grayson, Hopkin, Collins etc then almost everyone would be screaming for his dismissal, but somehow McCall seems to be continually free from any/all blame.Brackenrigg, Dennis, Fordy117 and 2 others like this. -

I was hoping that we could bumble along for the next few weeks, safe enough, that a manager change could be done to align with the plan of the new CEO - though if that CEO is Sparks, then I don't really think it matters anyway - but I don't see how we can continue. Without change, this side will go down. McCalls interview last night sounded desperate.

Please let this all end now. No matter what we think of him as manager, its quite distressing listening to him now. It's just like the end of his first spell as manager when he kept losing it in post match interviews
I said right from the start, we should never have brought him back, he was finished as a manager after his time at Scunthorpe. It was always going to end up like this again.brisbanebantams, Inspector, TheNorf and 2 others like this. -

I'd have more respect for Sparks if he admitted his mistake at giving Stuart a new deal and pulled the plug on this farce.

We've had since Christmas, when Vaughan first went on loan to source possible replacements incase he did leave permanently and the best we can come up with is a list of 4 names, one who was a former player and one who's perennially linked with the club? How, Gildy Pete, ConnecticutBantam and 1 other person like this. -
Complacency is the word you are looking for the club are happy to sell 14000 season tickets and if they read some of the comments from certain posters on here think "all is rosy"
They are stuck in their comfort zone with very little ambition to change things round
What's needed as well as team strengthening is leadership from the top at the moment it seems no one cares enough to drive us forwardFaithful Bantam, Dubois, bantam2708 and 1 other person like this. -

Not sure, but to date Im enjoying the type of player McCall is bringing in on his 1st summer window. Think its a case of shipping out the shit from previous myself.
