Can't afford to think like that. McCall will get judged by results and results only.

It was probably a genuine question by Stuart.

McCall was probably hoping that Raynor had some ideas for him.

I was hoping that we could bumble along for the next few weeks, safe enough, that a manager change could be done to align with the plan of the new CEO - though if that CEO is Sparks, then I don't really think it matters anyway - but I don't see how we can continue. Without change, this side will go down. McCalls interview last night sounded desperate.

We don't need to wait for the appointment of the CEO. He/she can start to work with Rhodes now to clear the decks.

Agenda item No 1. Cardboard box ordered for Mr S McCall.

Noticed last night that McCall said this was his last job in 'England'.

Sounded like he is already planning his exit strategy for his coaching role in Scotland.

I thought it was incredibly disrespectful to Bradford City and everyone that has supported him.

    Disrespectful.

    Fire him now.

Stuart's management career at City will be remembered more for complying with his bosses instead of stamping his feet and demanding full backing with staff and funds when he had the backing of the fans from the start...

Our issues start at the very top of the club. Having a manager that's recruited specifically by a new, capable and fully backed CEO is key to our rebuild.

Look at what happened when a proven winner at this level (Grayson) made clear what was needed to transform the club into a forward thinking, successful outfit; on yer way sunshine.

Thought i'd do some digging over McCalls recent history, tallied out a his last 46 league games he's been in charge of to see what he's been like over a season and spot any trends. Only major one that glares out is he has no clue how to coach a defence in the last few years.

27 games with Scunthorpe, 19 with City stretching from October 2018 to last night. Over those 46 games he's had 13 wins, 8 draws and 25 defeats. With 47 goals scored and 69 goals conceded with just 5 clean sheets in that span leaving him with a -22 goal difference. Looking over his formations with Scunny, he used the diamond then moved to a 532 when they were shipping goals, and it changed nothing.

Seemingly doing the same now with us, five lads in defence and Watt who plays so deep it's basically chucking another body back centrally. He hoping all those bodies will somehow plug a defence, leaving gaps up top and we might counter break and get a goal. Surely he must realise he needs help defensively? Defenders on the books aren't the best but in the cases of Wood, French, Staunton and even Paudie to an extend but not as much as the others, these players are young who should be coached on improving from mistakes. Maybe getting in a defensive coach could help him out? Might be too little too late as he probably wont last 2 more defeats.

Cowley turned down Tranmere for the same reason last week. Not sure he would rock up here

In the immediate term, I've lost interest in our games/results. Simply because I see how bad we are and it can't be fixed through a couple of players coming back from injury or even a quick change of manager.

The only thing that consumes my thoughts now is: who's replacing Rhodes and how seriously will he or she be backed to rebuild this club? Its a huge job and it needs someone with real skill, ambition and capability. Get it right, provide the backing and we could rebuild impressively. But the time is now. We can't get it wrong. I'm hanging by a thread in terms of the trust, confidence and interest I now have in the club. I think I'm far from alone. If we go with Sparks; we'll be done. And so will I. It would genuinely be the final straw in respect of my support of this club. I see it the next few weeks as that profound. Arguably the most important in this clubs history.

I see that as a sign a weak manager. It also allows him to play the victim.

Agreed. But if we know who the CEO is and he/she knows they are coming on board then the clear out can start before he/she arrives. Starting with the, some might say, management team of McCall and Black.

That's a fair point. If the CEO is already in situ, in the background, a manager change can probably be accelerated.

Grayson walked. It is what any good manager would do.

McCall hangs on because he is not a good manager and uses the excuses handed to him by his devotees as reasons for his inability to deliver success.

See what you are doing here?

You start with a great bit of research which shows where McCall is clearly failing but then look at giving him a get out.....Maybe he needs a defensive coach. It's not his failing it is someone else who is failing.

McCall is the coach. What exactly is he doing?

McCall is one piece of the jigsaw that needs clearing, but only one piece. There are bigger players who have caused our demise in the last 3 years, 3 to be exact and Rahic has left so that leaves 2 more. The club needs gutting from top to bottom to be blunt.

Despite his failings as a manager, SMc is a symptom of a much wider problem at the club. Getting rid of him resolves an immediate concern but doesn't address the more fundamental issue of an uninterested owner and a safety-first CEO who doesn't really want to be here.
