The thing Rhodes and Lawn tried to avoid came to pass.

We managed to evade the grasp of the Italian chancers, fortunately, but unfortunately R+R bought us out.

What we really should be asking is why they borrowed against the club to finance their takeover ? With edin having already earned his stake back threw wages and rupp getting his back threw interest on loans . We got glaziered

 

Well at least they got that right, it looks superb, still waiting to see how it does over the winter. I have no real idea how much it cost, but you would trust our recruitment cttm to buy players of suitable quality? Hopefully the pitch will last

Honestly think those people are deranged - or were somehow led to feel that voting for the pitch was the way forward - either way, WRONG ANSWER.

 

I don't believe we'd have been quite as heavily reliant on loan players (Payne, O'Brien, Miller, Seedorf, Ball) - but I'm not saying those two would have signed anyone particularly amazing, let it be noted.

 

Lets not congratulated them too much with regards the pitch, the Football League got intouch about the state of our playing surface, so Id suggest something that might have been a lower priority then became a very high priority.

To be fair, if they HAD to spend that money, there really is only one answer - dig deep for the playing squad (because they'll have to fix the pitch anyway).

Mark Lawn should be delighted. If it wasn't for Parkinson it would have been him taking the stick Rahic is. He had a lucky escape.

 

If they borrowed the money to buy the club why is Rupp getting the interest? Or did he borrow it from himself?

 

That's not quite true.

Lawn had the opportunity to be chairman with Parkinson as manager.

It worked quite well.

Rahic also had this opportunity.

The difference there is palpable, isn't it?
