I don’t want a points scheme at all.

should just sell priority tickets. £500 a pop

I have to use a particular turnstile for home games (superstitious reasons) and the young girl religiously scans my QR code on my phone.
My wife is not as sad as me and just uses the one with the shortest queue.
She’s told me on numerous occasions that the person checking her code has often just looked at it and ushered her through.
She’s even asked the person if they are scanning tickets and been told their scanner occasionally doesn’t work and it’s ok to just check it visually.

For this reason alone I don’t think attending home games (after you’ve bought a season ticket) should be included in the points system.
There are too many potential flaws in the system for it to be very accurate.

And disadvantages people who spend less. Why should some one who has 5 kids who they buy shirts for have a better chance of a Salford ticket than someone who has no kids ? I mean where does it stop ? Priority for away games should be based on attending football games. They already have that stupid pointless £40 membership scheme what offers nothing in place . Attach your pie buying onto that and leave the ticket priority top people who deserve it

It’s a challenge enough to get points added when you’ve attended a game, let alone for buying a bag of crisps or a pint in the ground and tacky t-shirt from the shop.
Not sure how it works for groups either - individual transactions at tea bars.
Just keep it simple to stop it becoming factual.
Oh, and comments limited to a few lines in the survey so cannot have a proper vent!

I noticed that, you can comment but only if it's one or two short sentences.

suppose same could be said about why should someone who has the spare cash and time to go to 10 midweek games have better chance of a ticket?

just think should remove priority from the scheme and have it as a points scheme and then sell priority tickets. No point in running two schemes.

it is changing. They have said it is changing. Totally pointless survey as they have already decided they are changing it

    just scrap it totally then.

can not see point in spending money running a scheme with such limited scope.

You can argue that one both ways. Why should someone who is single and has sufficient time, money and lack of other commitments to go to most away games get priority for plum ties over someone who buys five season tickets for themself, their partner and their kids but cannot spare the time or money to go to away games? The parent is a committed supporter who actually puts more money into the club than the regular away goer and may well have been supporting the club for far longer.
I'm not saying I necessarily agree with the proposed new scheme but just pointing out that there are different ways of measuring loyalty and reward. Those who regularly go to away games want to keep the priority for plum ties and low allocations to the regular clique who have the time and money to go to many away games. I understand why they think that, but I can also see why the club might want to broaden it out give other loyal supporters a chance for occasional tickets.

Not really spending any money though are they.
They add 20 points to a spreadsheet when you buy a ticket. It’s all automated. It needs to stay as simple as that.
Can you imagine the queues at the kiosks when purchases are made for multiple people and everyone has to have their ST scanned.

Scrapping it completely will just serve to achieve more of our scrotes obtaining tickets and causing mayhem.

Yes I had the same issue.

As it is in effect a ‘gagging’ device, preventing respondents from explaining their position, I haven’t completed the questionnaire.

I have been in touch with the club about ‘missing’ loyalty points, for home games I have attended. I have had a partial response, and then asking me if I attended (for goodness sake that is why I wrote in the first instance). Despite being told they have been allocated, then they still are not showing.

Basically I am losing faith in the system.

My view is that Loyalty Points for home league games, should be awarded on the purchase of your season ticket. Alternatively scrap all points for home league games to season ticket holders, and award them solely to pay on the day on a pro rata basis, so that if they attend all games, then they can get up to the same number as Season Ticket holders.

I disagree with them being issued with other purchases, such as items in the club shop, hospitality and so called ‘welcome packs’.

In principle the system of rewarding Supporters is a good one, it offers a fairer allocation of tickets for away games. However the flawed computer system, the suggestion you should only get points when you go through the turnstile is in my opinion flawed.

Well I’ve been an England supporter all my life and buy shirts for every tournament.
I’m just as loyal to my country as someone who travels to Kazakhstan on a Tues night.
Why is it then that I cannot get one of the 90000 Wembley tickets for a Euro semi final?

It’s just how these things work and Bradford City should be no different but yet they try to re-invent the wheel with some non standard priority scheme where buying a pie gives rewards.

I sincerely hope that Ryan Sparks reads these boards and all other social media platforms because that’s all the feedback he needs.

The unanimous feeling is that the scheme should stay exactly as it is now.

I assume with regards merchandise, hospitality and the likes you would quote your membership details when purchasing, I've had merchandise bought for me as a gift from family Christmas, birthdays, fathers day etc where my daughters have just gone down to the shop and purchased stuff they wouldn't know to produce my details and I get extra points.
For me keep the ticketing scheme but none of the nonsense with regards points for attending home games I personally don't see what that achieves buy a season ticket you get 460 points 23 games 20 points per game to start your ballance, then 20 points for every away ticket you purchase or is this too simple.

At the end of this season are all loyalty points accrude during this season added to supporters account for next season or is it a fresh start for everyone.

As I mentioned here, it seems some points are being awarded, but they are not showing up in the purchase history.

As I've previously mentioned, I think there need to be two systems, one purely as a priority scheme for away matches based on previous away tickets purchased, and then a separate loyalty scheme (like some supermarkets do) where you get points for all your different spends, which can then be used for rewards (e.g. merchandise, ground tours etc. etc.).

As an aside, now that most clubs scan tickets on entry, I've wondered why the EFL haven't introduced a league wide away app/card, that can be used in the away end at any ground. Tickets could then be purchased and added to your app/card, without having to collect tickets or get them posted out; just scan your card at the away end of whichever ground you are visiting.

Giving ST holders 460 points serves no additional purpose than nobody getting the points if everyone is given the same.

Two different proposals appear to be covered by the survey. Firstly, an Away Loyalty Card which gives priority to regular away fans when tickets are limited which I believe is the correct starting point. Secondly, the club now wants it to evolve into a Tesco type Loyalty Card where the more is spent, the more points are accumulated. I don"t disagree with this but it has little to do with rewarding regular away fans with first dibs at aways games. The two things are entirely different and imo should remain separate.

The final comment from the club at the end of the Survey suggests the decision has already been taken. We will have a Tesco type Loyalty card which will reward us for eating and drinking more at VP and is very different from the concept of the original Away Loyalty Card. It makes a mockery of asking fans what they'd like. The priority appears to be the cynical one which encourages us all to spend more with the club.

If only the club had also provided more space in which to express our thoughts in a meaningful way. They might then understand better what fans really want.
