Suppose it depends what your aim of the scheme is.

Do you want 40 years season tickets to equate to 23 away games?

5.75 points per year then but remember that those going to a lot of away games will also have season tickets and had them for a few years so would still end up with more points

And that's fine. If people have several years of ST purchases and go to lots of away games then I'm very happy for them to have first dibs.

I just want those who've had decades of paying to support the club, through mostly lean times, to have a fair shout at getting limited tickets, rather than it being weighted against them because they can't get to multiple away games.

From the club site this morning 29/06/22

Bradford City AFC has moved to update supporters on the introduction of its all-new loyalty scheme - to come into play from the 2022/23 campaign.

The scheme will reward supporters for their backing of the Bantams throughout 2021/22, replacing the former Away Priority Membership.

The new system sees four separate purchasing windows implemented for away and cup (away and selected home) fixtures next season and beyond, based on the amount of loyalty points each supporter has accumulated.

Over the course of the past 11 months, fans have accrued loyalty points based on purchases from the club’s official ticketing website and Box Office, including for home and away fixtures, memberships, events and more. Your total can be found by logging into your ticketing account.

From July 2022, tickets for away and cup (away and selected home) fixtures will be placed on sale at different intervals.

The loyalty scheme will comprise bands ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’, before tickets will be made available to 2022/23 season-ticket holders and then placed on general sale.

The loyalty-point band thresholds - in order of priority from the beginning of the 2022/23 season - will be communicated before tickets for the first applicable fixture are placed on sale, and thereafter.

From next season, tickets for fixtures in which the loyalty scheme is applied will be placed on sale to band ‘A’ supporters from midnight EIGHT days before the day of the match in question, for 24 hours*.

Bands ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ will then be granted their exclusive 24-hour purchasing period before, subject to availability, season-ticket holders receive a window to purchase, for at least 24 hours. From there, any remaining tickets will be placed on general sale up to the day of the fixture.

When a supporter visits the club’s official ticketing website or the Valley Parade Ticket Office, the minimum number of loyalty points required to purchase a ticket for the fixture in question will be stated.

As the season progresses, and supporters continue to be awarded loyalty points for each fixture they attend, the respective loyalty-point band thresholds will continue to be updated and increased on a match-by-match basis.

Ahead of each fixture where the scheme is applied, the required number of points will be clarified before tickets are placed on sale.

*PLEASE NOTE: The exclusive purchasing windows of 24 hours for each loyalty-point band - eight days before the fixture in question - will apply subject to the club receiving tickets for sale from the home side in a timely manner, at least two weeks before the respective match.

The club would like to take this opportunity to remind supporters that ‘Own The Moment’ season tickets for the 2022/23 campaign remain on sale, with 150 loyalty points awarded to each supporter who secures one. To do so, please visit the Valley Parade Ticket Office, or CLICK HERE.

For any further details on the club’s loyalty scheme ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, please e-mail ticketingsupport@bradfordcityafc.com, call 01274 770012 or Tweet @bcafchelp.

It will be interesting to see if Harrogate tickets and stand tickets for Barrow are sold out before they even go on sale which is what happened last year
Or perhaps various travel clubs automatically have enough points to buy any number of tickets 9 days before the match

I think the midnight sale time is a bit daft and needs reviewing . Why make people wait till such a ridiculous hour . What’s up with 8/9 in a morning .

I have written to the ticketing office to clarify a few issues. One of them is suggesting that they give you a run down of how you accumulated the points. Can anyone remember how many they gave us last year at the start of this?

Do you get extra for purchasing the posh seats? Plus car parking? It seems to be based on support but purchasing support? Away tickets, cup tickets etc they will need to include everything or otherwise it would be a fair system. In our family everyone seems to have different loyalty points. Plus if I bought two tickets for us as a couple would that go on my allocation or divided?

I've been ignoring this thread but just read the email or rather just read halfway down the email.

Could they have made it any more complicated? Good grief. If you're in band A you get 24 hours to buy your ticket ahead of others but only if it rained on the Wednesday before hand. If it didn't rain in your specific postcode but it rained in your parent post code then you get 12 hours notice.

I mean talk about over complicating the simple transaction of buying a ticket.

And some will argue that’s too early so would want it late - late suits me better so selfishly I’m happy with it!

It’s just 24 hours per band - and they’ll give the usual announcements, not sure what’s complicated about that?
Once it’s up and running we’ll know what bands we’re in and so we’ll know when the window opens for us?

Slightly less complex than the WHU scheme, I hope BCAFC have decent IT systems to handle it.
