How Rupp, Rahic and Collins are still here this morning baffles me. I can only assume there will be a press conference later today when they resign.

I remember, under British ownership and proper management, City getting to the final of this competition. These results would just not happen to use under a different, appropriate, regime.

 

Jesus if every manager we'd had resigned after an unacceptable loss we'd have never had a manager more than for games.

He was right it is unacceptable, but that happens at all levels of sport, it's his job to get the team going again now.

I'd take a point Saturday.

 

I disagree that he was right to say a loss would be unacceptable. It was naive and really disrespectful to Macclesfield and quite likely fired them up a bit more for the game. It will also have put extra pressure on our players and may have caused some of them to play with anxiety rather than confidence. If he wants to talk about results being unacceptable, he needs to do it after the game and not before in future.

You are disagreeing with something I haven't said, I didn't say he was right to say it, just he is right that it is unacceptable.

I actually agree saying something like that can just give the opposition more inspiration.

Fair enough but the fact is, he did say it and if he hadn't said it, this thread wouldn't exist.

 

I don't recall the same hysteria last year when after 4 games we were W2, L2 and if I recall in the two wins we looked decidly flaky (how we beat Bkackpool who were the much better side god only knows)

Seems 3 games in and some think they now have the bug stick they were hoping for.

 

Oh dear @Norman Corner is that the best you can offer, Collins shouldnt be judged on his reign so far because last season under Stuart we had W2 L2 and Parick had won us the game against Blackpool with a quality strike (which earned him a new deal I believe), you really are offering a poor comparison.
Stefan has funded far better closed season recruitment during this closed season than any time under any previous manager, infact the owners weakened last seasons squad from the previous season.
