    The words of the manager before the game, Is he a man of his word and will he resign? Will he look into himself and see any mistakes he made and maybe he is not good enough ?, Will he learn how to be a manager and not make silly statements before games ? Either way he is right on one thing the result was unacceptable

    Wrong man for the job could be a possible explanation but I'm not blaming Collins for that.

    it is unacceptable to lose in the first round of the league cup to a lower league side.

    I still remember the start Jewell made in that season we got promoted to the Prem and then something just clicked and we were unstoppable at times

    Trying to be optimistic......

    It's unfair to use that statement against him as an attempt to get him fired. I disagree with this formation and playing one up top, I even think Eden's decision to appoint him was ridiculous, but using that statement against him in that way is ludicrous.

    We all know that losing away to a league 2 team in the cup is unacceptable, yet many of our managers have achieved this unceremonious feet in the past. Collins isn't the first. That we actually lost lends no additional jeopardy to his statement, the loss is just as damaging regardless of whether he did or didn't say it. You could even make the case that at least he's been honest and knows it's unacceptable.

    I am worried, but that he said that is no reason to attack him.

    I am worried that he made the comment in the first place. It is one of those ‘banana skin’ remarks which come back to bite you in the backside. He was foolish to use it.

    Stop putting words in my mouth, At no point in my post do I say he should be sacked, I ask the question as to what happens when you say a thing is unacceptable to you and then that thing happens?, My post asked questions and does not call for him to be sacked and any criticism is that any experienced manage would not make such a silly statement before a game of football where we all know strange results happen in the cup, But he must learn fast if he is to have any chance of getting the supporters behind him and no doubt his employer eventually will have doubts

    Tbh, it took 6 weeks to appoint him over the summer with no league games to worry about. I can't see him being binned off mid season. If he does it will be just for Abott to take over

    I see it, he's an easy guy to axe.

    Bold Edin will then, as you say, continue the farce by failing to appoint a sensible replacement, and 'caretaker' Abbott will become a permanent fixture.

    Inability to appoint quality.
