Anyway balls to these petty arguments.. apologies @bantamdave41 for my pettiness last night.

Today is a good day for the long term future of the club, in the short term it may be crap, however IF/when we end up relegated we will be in a much better position to come back up quicker than last time..

Don't get me wrong it's a horrible place to be considering where we were just a few short months ago.. However we can get back this time, and yes it might come across as thoroughly nice chap!$h to say this, but the fans once again have to stick by the club and support it next season whichever league we're in... unfortunately we're once again likely to be the largest contribution to the budget!

I have to say I expected more with regard things that have happend at our club on Edin's watch.

 

You really are missing the point aren't you !! The point of me posting that was to stop the speculation that these were investors !! Can't you grasp that ?

 

I bet your front room was rammed .

 

But that's not going to happen, he's got to go yet and then we are faced with £25 per game, er no thanks. Needs Edin gone & an a Xmas creative ticket deal. Even then, I'd expect no more than 30/40% of the stay aways to come back this season.

I don't know what other stay aways are doing but I've really enjoyed this season, it's BPA, Lincoln & Celtic up next, maybe Sunderland on Boxing Day.

I was thinking about that his morning. wasn't that alleged article something to do with poor behaviour from one of the players/officials or something? I thought it was referred to in similar lines to the current ongoing investigation that's affected our only decent wide player. God we miss that lad!! Need some width in January.

I was wondering this myself the other day.. if those who hadn't bought ST's were offered a half ST at say £100 would you be willing to pay it.. obviously as long as it's all done and dusted before Jan

 

I was thinking more the season ticket holders staying away, I certainly wouldn't expect people to be paying that every game, more when you consider many will be part of a family. But I like the idea of a half season ticket this year, get fans back on side.

 

I have a season ticket still so don't need to, but at £100 I think plenty would, maybe with discounts etc if you have kids coming with you. I'd consider making them even cheaper just because it is important long term to get them fans back.

 

Would it be beneficial, financially, if he went before the transfer window? Will it make any difference either way?

 

He has no money so he can't really affect transfers.. however from a fans P.O.V it would be yes

 

but if Rupp has to buy him out then that may affect potential transfer money.

 

Yes if Edin is leaving lets get him out of our club, then maybe make the goings on public.

 

Unfortunately Rupp is just gonna have ti suck it up realise he's been stung and pay up.. Sounds coming from Hopkin suggests he has players lined up so I'd guess a budget has already been discussed?

 

I think the only way that a discounted half season ticket would bring extra fans in is if it is backed with significant team strengthening in early January.
People aren't going to fork out good money (however discounted) just after the most expensive time of year to watch the tripe we've been seeing so far this season. No one wants to take their kids to see us get routinely outplayed.
Hopkin has talked about getting new recruits in from the start of the January window. If that happens, so that people can see the prospect of some better football/good results then a partial ST deal in mid/late Jan could have some legs.
