With regards Hopkin not knowing if Rahic is leaving, it's a bit like Arsene Wenger not seeing the incident when questioned on Match of the Day

Good riddance to bad rubbish, but what a unholy mess he leaves to sort.

Only a fool would have come in and ripped up the blueprint that had been working so well under the previous board, manager, coaching staff and staff behind the scenes. Rupp is culpable for allowing him to do so for so long too.
All that was needed was a chat with Parky to convince him that he could still run the football side of itl his way, and ask what was needed to help us to continue the steady progress, and get us to the next level. It still infuriates me that Rahic thought he knew better.
So good riddance, hope he never steps foot in our stadium or City againrmbenson007, thebantamhaslanded, Disillusioned of Bingley and 9 others like this. -

... There's no one at the club left to blame for the state of the squad assembled, so genuinely see nothing else for it but to back City to the hilt - not as a happy clapper, but in order to back a group of players and a manager with a MASSIVE job on their hands.
We have to finish 20th this season, end of.
January feels a long way away, and maybe it is damage limitation until then, but if we can keep in touch, bring in some real ability, offload the ones that capitulate as soon as it gets tough, who knows.

Let's keep this thread focused on the issues in hand and dispense with all of the personal attacks. This issue is too important for it to be used as a slanging match by a very small number of posters.

It doesn’t take the most informed fan to be aware that Rahic is on his way, what isn’t yet public knowledge is the nuts and bolts of his departure, other investors to buy his 22% stake, Rupp to own the club 100%, or a bit of both ?
JR to run the show, DH to run the squad.
Hard days ahead, however Rupp will start to be on a nice little earner, whilst the club pays his loan off. Vastly different set-up to the last ownership.
Rupp could be heavily criticised for what seems to be his indifference to the damage Rahic inflicted on the club, a little like how the Roades left BFG to run the show.
Rupp will have learnt the lesson, and want regular feed-back from the new arrangement.
The main question is the purse strings, will the budget go back to Pre-Rahic days.
We know, or are very confident that managing the side and signings will be entirely down to the footballing staff.
We’re on the journey through the woods, however that journey back has just started.
Eventually we’ll be back to where we were, maybe 5years to get there again, certainly if we’ve to do it via League two again.
Unless of course Rupp is prepared to put a bit of extra our way, don’t hold your breath.
The most soul destroying thing about all this is it is so pointless, it wasn’t needed.

to be quite honest - I don't give a toss who knows what or why it was a late call to cancel, or who's repaying the money - aslong as Rahic leaves the club.
without even going ahead the good people who contributed from Bantam Talk and SOC1903 have made a real difference in helping our club, and for that I think we can be very proud.
not @Park bantam though. he's done nothing to help. we've achieved this inspite of folk like him. but thems the breaks.CT Bantam, broadsword, Stevay_b and 5 others like this. -
idiotic shambles you may call it, but like it or not, it's forced change.
your idea of sitting down and having a nice pot of tea with Edin and talking it through wouldn't.
sitting down with the supporters trust hasn't.
an interview with Bantams Banter hasn't
WOAP publishing interviews with McCall, and writing critical articles hasn't
James Mason leaving didn't force change, infact he left exactly because he COULDN'T force change even from his position!
but this HAS. 64 people from a fan forum and a start-up protest group have managed to make a difference. and it shows folk like you and other detractors that we aren't and weren't "all talk" - we stood up and did something, and its worked.
you can thank us later, because if we'd continued down your path, and carried on supporting and encouraging that absolute moron we'd most certainly be staring right down the barrel of liquidation of the club as we know it today.
now we might just have a fighting chance of recovery from the absolute shit creek Rahic has left us up, because our action has forced Rupp to ring Julian and tell him to bring his paddle.Naz Nomad, thebantamhaslanded, Fools Gold and 5 others like this. -

Good feck off, all that hard work down the drain. It took years to get out of that swamp league, but in doing so created some of my best memories as a football fan. All that feels a waste now, who knows how long it will take to get back up.
