There are many, many things our Academy needs to work on; producing good attacking players is one, increasing the level of diversity (in terms of culture, class, and ethnicity) being an absolutely critical second.

Call me old fashioned but signing players on footballing merit alone is my preferred method.

I repeat. Fans can only go by the stats, the history and I suppose if they have seen the player themselves. It's 2021 and plenty of data about.

If a player has scored for example 3 in 76 games and he's meant to be a forward. Then no matter how much we look into it the stats are there and we can make judgement.

Yes, we can HOPE a player is going to be good for us but as I said just because the club has signed a player doesn't mean fans have to agree with it or get excited by it.

It's a forum and its up to players/managers to change our minds.
