Lee Angol signs

If Adams can get a tune from Mellor and NKP, we have to hope he can do similarly with this lad. Good luck to him, he could be 3rd choice with the 2nd striker still to be signed.

I'm hoping that's the 1st of 2 today as like it's been mentioned, season tickets need selling and with no offence intended, this signing won't make people think its gonna be goals, goals, goals this season.

 

I'm hoping the goal scoring striker is yet to be identified.

My guess at the minute is Eisa may played more in the striking role rather than wing so that him , cook and Angol as our front three. Not 100% sure thats enough looking at them on paper. I'm kind of hoping now that this rules out our move for that non league lad, not sure we can be taking a bit of a punt on two strikers at this stage and relying on cook

 

3 goals in open play in 27 starts over the last two seasons. As said, he will be cheap and probably heavily based on appearances but he'll only ever be a back up. Looking at the Orient teams he played in, looks like he played out wide just as much as he played up front. Awful injury record there, didn't play after tearing his quad in Feb. Looks to have had issues with quads and hamstrings most of his career.

Stockton had a naff record and he made Mellor look like an actual footballer, so lets hope Adams can make him tick.

His injury record is interesting. I'm sure sparks said we'd be signing players who could play 40 games a season as opposed to those who could only manage 20.

 

Maybe signed him because he scored for Orient against Morecambe. Five goals in 38 games for Orient not what I call a striker he did win the Golden Boot Conference South 2014-15 though and maybe likes Carling .

Why not if he’s third choice?
If striker 1 and 2 can get around the 40 mark between them, plus more expected goals from wide men and midfield, we should have enough goals.
If Anglo shows in sub appearances and cup matches then great. The only thing I would have done differently is have it as a 1yr deal with an option-this might still be the case though

 

He’s a 1 goal in every 3.5 games striker by the looks of it. I doubt he will be first choice but he gives us another option.

I think some people forget we are a 4th division side.

Not the most inspiring of signings on paper but we do need to give him a chance. No point in writing him off before he’s even kicked a ball for us.

I’ve seen people on here saying they’d rather have kept Donaldson or Novak however I don’t think they were good enough for us to challenge for promotion so change was needed.

Maybe Angol won’t be as good as Donaldson or Novak but he has been signed by Adams/Turnbull and we should trust them to build a squad and see where it takes us.

 

Adams has been it clear he wants to work with a 24 men squad and for me that's fine.

However, we have some youth players that will make up the 24 in the squad meaning for me that all our signings have to be on point. We can't be taking risks or carrying players.

I wish the lad well but make this the only signing that seems like a waste.

People would have been happy with Stockton who arguably had a worse Goal Record, yet this lad is seen to be a Poor signing???
Orient Fans have said the lad has talent when fit and Motivated, and one thing is for Sure that Adams motivates and gets the best from his Players (Mellor/NKP example). Lets hope he can stay fit. Good Signing who wont break the bank but has great potential upside.
