As with Eisa, my daughter's chap used to play with Lee Angol in the National League South. Both were in the Boreham Wood team that won the (then) Conference South playoff final against Whitehawk in 2015. In the couple of games I saw, he looked several classes apart from everyone else playing. He was razor sharp and a clinical finisher. He was undoubtedly much too good to be stuck in non- league football
Clearly his career has been badly hampered by injury. I've no doubt that he has the ability to be an effective L2 player if he is anything like the young player I saw six years ago. Let's hope that he can now get back to full fitness and thrive under Adams who, presumably, must believe he can get a tune out of him.

Once again a player we know very little about really except what we read and view on social media.
Derek Adams said there will be a lot of emphasis on running in pre season.
If Lee Angol is over his injuries he will certainly be up to speed before we start the season just like the rest of the squad.
Adam's tried and tested methods of squad fitness will be applied at City and any shirkers will be weeded out very quickly.
I would like to think at 25 Lee Angol's recent fitness setbacks are well and truly behind him.
Good Luck to the lad hope this move works out for him and City.broadsword, Brackenrigg, hornseabantam and 7 others like this. -

This is a real Bradford City striker signing, injury prone and a poor scoring record.

. Adams said, he had the final word on signings. Turnbull’s job is “to identify” potential signings. A million miles apart. Adams can choose to reject or accept Turnbulls recommendations. Clearly Adams has identified him if not, gone along with Turnbulls recommendation because he’s seen him play pretty recently. Let’s see how he fares before pointing fingers peeps. The Evidence, Wakefield Bantam, Inspector and 5 others like this. -
Love how its not a name anyone recognises so have decided its poor. By the looks of his record he can score goals. Has a decent goal ratio at a couple of the clubs he's been at but looks to have suffered with injuries over the past couple of seasons.
Cheap backup and if fit can clearly score. A decent, no thrills signing from Adams. No issue with this at all.hornseabantam, Foghornleghorn, pns1945 and 4 others like this. -
He’s a 1 goal in every 3.5 games striker by the looks of it. I doubt he will be first choice but he gives us another option.
I think some people forget we are a 4th division side.
Let’s welcome the lad FFS.hornseabantam, Kevin1954, Bantam75 and 4 others like this. -
If Adams can get a tune from Mellor and NKP, we have to hope he can do similarly with this lad. Good luck to him, he could be 3rd choice with the 2nd striker still to be signed.

Stockton had a worse record before he signed for Morecambe let’s hope Adams can get the best from him

Could be an acute signing. Sorry - a bit obtuse of me!

Were a strange breed us football fans Adams has been in the managers seat for 2 weeks and were questioning a guy with his CV, maybe just maybe he knows a little bit more about football as player and manager than we do.
Just out of curiosity his win ratio at Morecambe yes little Morecambe was 43% that alone says to me Adams deserves a little respect, only Cambridge and Exeter scoring more goals than Morecombe I'm sure most City would take that this coming season.broadsword, wetherbywhaler, Idlebantam and 2 others like this. -
Call me old fashioned but signing players on footballing merit alone is my preferred method.meelin, white coat bantam, Chippy and 2 others like this. -

Like the Eisa signing, completely out of the blue for City fans with no rumours at all. I like the way they are doing their business.
It would appear the lad has a bit to prove but I trust Adams to get the best our of himKevin1954, Bronco, 1975citygent and 1 other person like this. -

I guess from my point of view, injuries can curtail a player both ability wise and mentally. We shall see.Ulysses S Grant, JonButterfield, The Evidence and 1 other person like this. -
Surprised, but many will be disappointed . I’m happy to see how he does1975citygent, The Evidence and Stoneski like this. -
Not the most inspiring of signings on paper but we do need to give him a chance. No point in writing him off before he’s even kicked a ball for us.
I’ve seen people on here saying they’d rather have kept Donaldson or Novak however I don’t think they were good enough for us to challenge for promotion so change was needed.
Maybe Angol won’t be as good as Donaldson or Novak but he has been signed by Adams/Turnbull and we should trust them to build a squad and see where it takes us.
