To be honest, whether there is an agenda or not, if NKP puts in more performances like his against Barnsley then he'll be out of the team soon enough. Unless McGowan or O'Connor are happy playing left sided centre half then I'd imagine Kilgallon will be back in.

 

I understand some believe Killa is being treated badly by the club (and he might be) but there is another option and one which I think is probably closer to the truth.........Perhaps, just perhaps the current situation suits both parties? Killa is coming towards the end of his career and will naturally want to play as much as possible, but given that he clearly isn't first choice at city and must know his chances are going to be limited this season, he may feel he would stand a better chance of playing more games elsewhere. If that is the case and he is waiting to see what clubs might come in for him before the end of the month, he isn't going to want to risk scuppering any deal by playing and getting injured. Equally, city may feel they are in a no lose situation by not playing him this month. If he gets a loan deal, that could free up funds for a loan striker to come in and if a deal doesn't materialise and Killa ends up staying, they still have a good defender in the building who can do a job if/when called upon. If the latter happened, I firmly believe we would start to see Killa's name appearing on the subs list pretty much from the start of September onwards.

Can think of few better to move in to a coaching role with the kids especially with his experience , He would be a real asset in that role and surprised the club do not see that

Where haven’t the club seen it? Have they said they won’t offer Killa a coaching contract?

They may have offered one, he may have said no to it. Does he even want to become a coach?

Don't be an arse, Have not put words in the clubs mouth have made a suggestion there is a world of difference, If the club had made him an offer it would have come out so you can assume it has not so you can reel in on that, He could carry on playing and coaching if he wanted to carry on playing,

I believe they're freezing him out, and looking to offload him and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it had something to do with Killa's good relationship with a former manager of the club.

 

Agree - so what does MC see in training and actually at games that puts NKP ahead of Kills? If Killa is not shipped before the loan window ends we will see him in the team.

Maybe MC wants rid of him, Lets be fair must be difficult trying to explain his vision of how to play football to a player who knows more than him about the game and with a history of playing at a far higher level and with far better coaches than MC has ever achieved, Maybe Killa finding it hard to keep a straight face does not help.

 

Aberdeen have got someone on loan that couldn’t get in the Rotherham team. Nicky Law left up there to come to us.
